Storm Meadows Club C-214 by Mountain Vacation Lodging is one of the best 1-Bedroom condos you will find. This "pet free" condo has been fully renovated, nicely furnished, and thoughtfully designed. It is a ski in ski out location with direct access to the national forest. Onsite amenities include a heated pool, hot tub, fitness center, tennis court, saunas and locker rooms. The condo is ground floor and features a quality King bed, a real wood burning fireplace, leather living room furniture, ceiling fans, nicely updated kitchen and bathroom, tasteful decor, and something you won't find at many 1-Bedroom condos - an in unit washer and dryer.

The Property:
The condo is all on one level. When you enter, you'll find a couple of benches where you can sit down and remove your shoes or ski boots. There are also coat racks and built in storage cubbies. You'll find thoughtful design like that throughout this condo. Also throughout the condo, you'll find that the ceilings are nice and high, with tongue and groove wood paneling, large exposed beams, and ceiling fans to circulate the air. This unit is ground floor, which means that it stays cooler than most other condos, which is important at times in summer, since most properties in mountain resort communities don't have AC. In cool evenings and cooler seasons, you'll really love the warmth and crackle of the real wood burning fireplace. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are all one large space. The sofa and armchairs are leather and seat more than the 4 person occupancy of the condo, so there's plenty of space to relax. If you have more than 2 people, the space saving dining table easily pulls off the wall to seat 4, with the kitchen barstools. The sofa is not a sleeper. An airbed allows this unit to accommodate groups of 3 or 4. The kitchen is fully renovated. It has solid slab granite counters, stainless steel appliances, and is fully equipped for those who want to cook, including pots, pans, dishes and utensils. You might even find some spices, oils, or other basics waiting for you in the cabinets. Just off the kitchen is a small closet that has been converted to accommodate a top and bottom, front loading high efficiency washer and dryer. These are not common in the building, and are really convenient if you need to dry some wet gloves, or just prefer to pack and travel lightly. The bedroom is a good size, easily accommodating a King size bed. This room also has a ceiling fan, closet, dresser, and wall mounted HDTV. The high quality mattress and linens help to assure a good night's sleep. The bathroom is located across the hall from the bedroom, allowing easy access from the bedroom as well as the living room, a nice feature for groups larger than two. Like the kitchen, the bathroom has been nicely renovated. It features a double headed walk in shower, a granite topped vanity with undermounted sink, and large walk in shower, and coordinated oil rubbed bronze fixtures. This condo also has a small outdoor space. Off the living room, you have a partially covered patio. Here you'll find firewood supplied by the HOA, some adirondack chairs, and a gas grill. There's also a snow shovel, for those who are lucky enough to visit on powder days!

Location:
This location is great in any season. If you're here in summer, the you'll have direct access into the Routt National Forest. You can go hiking or biking from this condo. Keep an eye out for wildlife. This part of Steamboat, near the forest as well as Burgess Creek, is prime moose habitat. During ski season, the hike and bike access turns into ski in ski out access. Just ride down the elevator, grab your skis or boards from the heated indoor ski & snowboard locker room, take 5 steps out the door, pop on your skis or board, and off you go! A short beginner level ski access trail leads to the groomed Right O Way ski trail and the ski area base. Coming home for lunch, for a break, or at the end of your ski day is easy too! Just head down the Right O Way ski trail and veer right onto the Storm Meadows Ski In Access trail. The trail and signs will lead you right back to the building! The ski out is nearly flat, slightly downhill. The ski in is also nearly flat with some undulations. Skiers may need to use their poles here and there, while snowboarders may need to take out one foot to push and skate. In spring, summer, and fall, the ski in ski out access turns into bike or hike in and out access. The national forest is right out your door.

The Amenities:
This property also comes with "club" amenities. Besides the ski locker room, the building also has its own hot tub, which faces southwest for great sunset views. If you exit the front door of the building, you'll find the clubhouse straight ahead, about 125 yards away. The clubhouse has an attendant, a small lounge area, and dual locker rooms with restrooms, showers, and saunas. The clubhouse provides direct access to the heated pool and hot tub area. Even the pool deck is heated, keeping it free of snow in winter months. The upper level of the clubhouse has a nice large fitness center and provides access to the tennis court. Also, in summer, the HOA brings out sunbathing loungers and tables with umbrellas. These facilities are really nice to have when you're not out exploring the surrounding areas or taking part in the many events and attractions of Steamboat. Who doesn't want to hop in the pool or a hot tub after day of adventure?

Shuttle Service and Getting Around:
In the summer, pretty much everyone wants to have a car with them. How else would you get to and from all the wilderness areas, parks, rivers, lakes, and national forest trailheads? In ski season, guests will love this location, and the fact that you probably don't need a car! That's because in ski season the development has a free private shuttle service. During the day, it loops back and forth to and from Gondola Square, the heart of the mountain village. From there, you can easily walk throughout the mountain village, or hop on the free city bus for a ride anywhere in town. Many of the ranches and attractions or winter activities outside of town, such as snowmobiling or the Strawberry Park Hot Springs, offer a tour option where they'll come pick you up. So you have lots of options outside of renting or bringing a car. If you're planning to head out to explore town during ski season, at night, that's when you might need to make use of one of Steamboat's taxi options. Fortunately, for guests at this condo, you probably won't need transportation much at all. Once you have your skis or boards, starting your day is as simple as getting yourself ready and strapping on your skis or board!

Arrival, Accessibility, Layout and Parking:
Once you book, we're here to support you before, during, and after your stay. We will provide you with arrival instructions, local information, and answer any questions you might have. When you arrive, it's just a few steps down from the parking lot to the building entrance. The condo is on the ground floor. The ski locker room and exit to the ski in ski out access is down one level from the condo. The parking is an outdoor lot and spaces are not assigned, but are reserved for guests and owners of this building. Sorry, trailers and RVs are not allowed, per HOA guidelines. If you will have a trailer or RV, there may be options for parking them nearby. Please contact us for additional information.

** Air Conditioning - Most mountain resort properties were not built with air conditioning. During most hours of the day and weeks of the year, AC is not needed. Summer nights are cool and fans are provided at most properties. Check the average high and low temperatures and weather forecast for your dates of travel, and look at the list of amenities to see if AC or fans are part of the rental property and look for ceiling fans in photos.
** Pet Free - Pets AND Service Animals are NOT PERMITTED in the property or on the premises. This is a privately owned home and is a PET FREE property. Due to the existence of pet allergies, this home is marketed and maintained as free of pet hair and dander. Allowing pets or service animals would result in a fundamental alteration of the nature of the property, and may pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others. Therefore, in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fair Housing Act, PETS AND/OR SERVICE ANIMALS are not permitted in the home or on the premises. There may be circumstances that create an exception to this policy, but only if the Guest provides advance notice of the presence of a service animal in writing before booking, and receives specific approval.
** Group Sizes, High Occupancy Fees, & Maximum Occupancy - Some properties use a “High Occupancy Fee” to “raise the rate” for larger groups, and are thus able to list a lower nightly rate for smaller groups. Each rental agreement and associated rates are for a specific group size. Guests must enter the correct and maximum group size at the time of booking. ** Video & Noise Monitoring - Please note that noise monitoring devices, and security cameras, do exist on the exterior of the property. Cameras are positioned to cover all entrances and exits of the home. If you plan to bring more people than you've indicated, more dogs than indicated, to host a party or event, or do not intend to respect neighbors or the value and quality of the property, then this is not the place for you, and you should not book the property. For normal, respectful groups, we are sorry that these statements and measures are necessary. Security cameras and noise monitoring devices are an example and demonstration that the property's owners are taking steps to ensure the home remains available for rental, and in good condition, for your benefit. ** Lengthy Rental Periods, Cancellation Policies, & Cleaning Fees - Long Term Rentals (28 nights or more) may be unacceptable under the standard cancellation policies listed online, which are designed to be only for short term rentals. Clean and cozy!

Perfect for a couple. Very clean unit in well cared for complex. Plenty of parking spaces. Easy check in and check out. If you want to be within walking distance of food/activities, choose something closer to Hwy 40. If you want less traffic and less chaos, this is the spot for you. Never used the spa as we kept too busy during the day fishing at local lakes and missed the hours of operation. Unit provided necessities. Will definitely stay again next year!!

This property is great. Had ski in and ski out paths, locker area to store your equipment. Nice wood burning fireplace, kitchen was stocked with a Keurig and coffee pot, crock pot, toaster, and all things needed. Hot tub was an easy walk. Very enjoyable stay.

Overall: nice place and had fun, and would stay here again. Pros: cozy, clean, modern, ski on/off is great, facility with pool and hot tub was nice. Shower is nice with two separate shower heads. Kitchen full stocked with cookware. Rental agency very responsive and accommodating. Cons: heat doesn’t go above 68- a few baseboard heaters. When I didn’t have a fire one night, slept in a sweatshirt. No shuttle after 430. Other rental agencies provided people who rented similar units with on-demand shuttle service called RG shuttle. If you don’t have a car, makes going into town or night skiing difficult. No information was given advance about shuttle from gondola square: it picks you up at gondola square at 20 and 50 past the hour and the shuttle has “go alpine” on it.
