Got the Job Done but not the Best

Our stay was comfortable overall and I would recommend, but for the price, there’s definitely room for improvement. The building layout had a few inconveniences that should have been made clearer up front. For example, the property has no elevator, and while it’s advertised as ski-in/ski-out, it’s only partially true—you can ski back in at the end of the day, but reaching the lifts requires walking up a 500-meter cat trail. Additionally, the sidewalks between buildings were extremely icy, with steep and slick staircases that were difficult to navigate, especially while carrying a large suitcase and ski bag. Communication was managed through a third party, Vacasa, and it left much to be desired. They were difficult to work with, provided no details on the check-in process, front desk hours, or contact information, and required multiple follow-ups before we received any of the necessary information. Inside the unit, storage was a challenge. There was no designated space for ski gear—no hooks or hangers for boots, jackets, or helmets. The entryway closet was tiny and completely filled with the owner’s belongings, leaving us with nowhere to put our things. On the positive side, the town’s shuttle bus was a great perk and made getting around easy. The hot tub was another highlight, though it could have been a bit hotter and cleaner.

Good spot, apartments get hot during the day with no AC but cool off quickly opening the windows in the evening. Got in late after check in and they got us dialed in with a lock box to pick up the keys, super easy

Overall ok. Beds were not comfortable. Rooms were extremely hot and we couldn't turn down the heat after requesting help. Fans, lights and rugs were not clean with lots of dirt and dust.

Steamboat's Frat House

The check in process was a mess. hotels.com should get the correct address for checking in correct. The bed at the hotel was worse then a cheap Motel 6 pullout bed. You can feel the springs. On our last night the whole building turned into a collage frat party. When calling Steamboat Resorts about the issue at 3am no one seemed to care. When discussing the issue at check out was told "Sorry. This happens". There was a road flare found on the hood of a vehical in parking lot the same moring. My family and I WILL NOT EVER stay at a Steamboat Resort property again. I'd rather pay for a timeshare or Hotel.

a little outdated but comfortable

Great location, confusion over where to check in, no air conditioning but good ceiling fans and in mountains cools off at night, so we didn't get hot. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom could use updating. Overall we were comfortable and had everything we needed as far as kitchen and space. Was really nice having 2 bedrooms and 2 baths for the price.

Lots of nice space for a family.

Located very close to the ski hill. Would have been nicer to be right on the mountain. The shuttle stopped right outside our door every 20minutes. The condo was dated with no view but in good condition. So nice to have more space than a hotel room. We used the well stocked kitchen every day.

Ski Inn and out, not really.

Be aware that there are NO elevators in this complex. It is possible you would end up on the third floor walk-up. No matter what there are stairs everywhere. Ski in and ski out is dubious. We were told it was possible, but the van was easier for us. The van is very convenient and makes it easy to get places to the Steamboat gondola and in town.

We had an excellent stay. ski in is accurate where we were able to ski up to the steps, ski out on the other hand was a relatively short walk to the slope. This walk would still be shorter then taking the shuttle and walking to the slopes. The rooms are noisy and we did hear everything going on above us. I knew this from reading earlier reviews . it was very economical and the staff was excellent as well as the availability of the shuttle service.

Ski away from this

The room was run down. The refrigerator leaked from the freezer onto all our food, the climate control was non-existent, either boiling hot or open the door and let winter in. The carpet was frayed and dangerous walk over, there was no elevator, so moving in and out was no picnic.

Great place, great location!

Great condo, nicely furnished and fully stocked kitchen. The beds were very comfortable with lots of pillows. Our unit had a fireplace, balcony, and a very nice living area.

2 night get-away for wife and I. Selected ski inn mostly because their hot tubs were still open. early October off season many places had pools closed. The outdoor hot tubs were bath warm and the indoor pool was scalding hot. However the condo was nice. Great balcony. Nice bed. Super small bathroom and way to much furniture though. Overall 3.5 out of 5
