“Stayed here for one night for business purposes. Wasn’t quite sure when I initially arrived, but was very pleasantly surprised! Had everything - TV, fridge (with milk!), ice, utensils, VERY COMFY DOUBLE bed, en-suite bathroom. Only drawback was there’s no terrestrial TV! Very very good place to stay though!”

“The apartment was exactly what we wanted! It was comfortable and clean! The host was wonderful and had no issue with answering any questions we had! The apartment is so close to the high street - a perfect spot for nights out or just a quick visit to the center. The only thing we found that there was not any oven trays for cooking but there was an oven. Not a dealbreaker at all and we just used foil that was provided. Just a point for the future! “We had a lovely stay at Drake Cottage. The cottage is beautiful, both on the inside and on the outside. Everything is spotless, including the modern appliances. We've stayed at many vacation rentals, but this one is by far the cleanest we've seen. Everything you need is already provided for, including tape, a flashlight, soap, scissors, you name it. There's lots to see and do in and around Saffron Walden. Even a trip to London is only an hour by train from Audley End. We would have loved to stay……

“Great place and location very nice clean ”

“Just the perfect stay for our family! We loved the patio for the kids to play in and had a wonderful stay. The beds were incredibly comfortable. There's a great pub next door that serves Italian food and has a great yard and play structure for the kids. We also visited the Audley End House and Audley Miniature Railway and Fairy Walk while we were there and it was a perfect combination for a little getaway. We would definitely come back! ”

“We stayed at the cottage for the weekend. The property was really welcoming and spotlessly clean. Well equipped kitchen. Probably the most comfortable bed I have slept in with good quality bedding. A real joy to spend time here. Although we stayed at the beginning of October there is a lovely summerhouse and a nice garden area. The village is lovely with the church literally right on the doorstep.”
