Besides the room being in major need of a face lift everything was broken like the buttons on the heater/air conditioner and the TV remote so we had to guess what we needed to push. We requested a non smoking room and clearly was not by the smell of cigarettes. I called the front immediately and there only resolution was to spray a nasty cinnamon scented air freshener. We were in town for a sport tournament and were so disappointed to not be comfortable.

Had to wait for a handicap room. The lady at the front desk argued saying we didnt have a handicap room. When i ordered one . Then we had to wait 30 minute for them to clean it. For a handicapped room, there was no bars near the toliet and not enough space for a wheelchair to be used.

Needs work
I ended up with what was labeled an accessable room. (#118) However, it was not up to those standards and wouldn't have been acceptable for a disabled person. Room was far from the handicapped parking spaces. There was no grab bar by the toilet, no towel rack or hook within reach of the shower, and no place to set toiletries within reach for someone in a wheelchair. The shower curtain rod was the curved kind which extended beyond the shower basin so the bathroom floor got really wet and there was only one small bath mat. No tissues. No luggage rack. Had to ask for a blow dryer. Couldn't get the TV to work even after the nice front desk guy came and tried. Only redeeming features were that it was very clean and the bed was very comfortable with a nice reading lamp. Breakfast was only carbs and bananas, but had a nice long time window.

No coffee maker or clock or tissue in our unit. Full breakfast was limited compared to other places we've stayed. Right next to the freeway.

Breakfast was good The room has good lighting and size (double bed) but there was an unpleasant smell. The bathroom and shower are large, but the shower needs upgrading.

The room we had was good. Clean and bed was comfortable. Check in and out was fast and friendly. I didn't try the breakfast but they do provide. Downside was lots of noise coming from outside. But its literally by the highway so the quiet expectation is sort of irrelevant. Due to being near downtown lots of people walking at all hours of the day so I can see why it seems unsafe. Which is reasonable cause its Stockton. BUT hotel staff does do their best to keep their clients safe. Overall for being in Stockton, its a decent hotel. Just lock your room door and keep your valuables with you and you'll be fine. If I ever need to stay in Stockton again, I will return.
