“The room was clean and the accommodation convenient. Staff were nice and breakfast lovely. Just noisy as it was a hotel.”

“I think the hotel is pretty,i like the rustic feel and furniture of the lounge/restaurant area. However the bedroom and bathroom can do with a modern , colourful, light and airy renovation. The bathroom is outdated ,I think they can update this. The staff can improve by being a bit more welcoming, friendly and warm.
Sadly in my room,m was on the ground floor and I was able to hear everything happening upstairs, n on the main corridor,so it was rather hard to sleep. so the place needs thicker……

“Just stayed here last week very easy to find plenty parking. Check in straight forward the young man very friendly. Some minor faults with rooms. We had 2 rooms . Both kettles in rooms had bad limescale so never used them .the teabags looked like they had just been thrown in a pile on the dresser Bathroom towel instead of being white had a massive blue stain on .bed sheet was dirty. .you could hear the traffic outside but to be expected as on main road. I think for value for money……

The Buck Inn charges £85 a night for a double and that includes a very good breakfast. The room is a large en-suite with tea/coffee/hot chocolate facilities and a fair sized tv. Good quality toiletries are provided. The bedding is clean and very good quality and the bed is comfortable. The downsides are……

“When I arrived the property was closed and had been for over a year despite my money being taken and messages being sent to me about my stay up to the day before. I had to find alternative accommodation at the last minute. The property should be removed from the Expedia site. Poor management and very inconvenient.”

“Kingslodge Inn is a lovely English country inn conveniently located near Durham train station and bus station. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the bar & restaurant offer great good in a cozy environment. Just note that there isn't an elevator; I had to carry my big suitcase one floor up.”
