「Would definitely recommend staying. Great position, on main street」

「Was a very good stay. I come back!!!」

「Great stay. Great hosts. Beautiful property, room and service.」

「Lovely room. We had an evening meal in the bar and the food was excellent. Breakfast was included and there was an excellent selection of cold buffet and cooked options. Again, lovely and very friendly attentive staff. If you want a tranquil location then do go and you won’t be disappointed.」

「The owner is very knowledgeable, helpful and made sure you had everything you needed for breakfast and your stay. Its not a traditional hotel visit. It is more like visiting a friend at a Castle.」

「Excellent accommodation, staff was brilliant, food was also excellent.」

「Arriving on a busy Saturday evening (lively bar, good atmosphere), would like to have seen signage for where to check-in, but after locating the right member of staff, we received a friendly welcome. 2nd floor room was very clean with good facilities, but unfortunately the extent of the sloping walls have driven a layout and bathroom configuration that overall weren't suitable for my husband who is 6'3", but were also a challenge for me, who at a smallish 5'4" could not stand up straight beside...

「Staff was super helpful and accommodating. Linda was especially helpful, including accommodating an early arrival and arranging for laundry services. The food was excellent, as was the service.」

「good」

「This is an excellent example of a Malmaison, it’s such a lovely hotel. The bar and restaurant are super. Food is always spot on and the cocktails are always wonderfully made. We’ve stayed many times and always love the rooms, which are nicely appointed and a generous size. This time it was a little tired, sockets broken, curtains marked, windows broken, nothing major but just needs a bit more attention to detail. Bathroom was clean enough, but there was makeup on the tiles above the sink and...

「The place was reasonable but at the price would expect better. Food was basic pub fare but was quick and hot. The room was average but cleaning let it down. Desk chair was covered in debris from outside where it must have been under some pine trees. Coffee cups after first night were not washed or replaced they were just left in bathroom half full of water but dirty. Sink was dirty from where cups had been rinsed.」
