Lovely small hotel, excellent breakfast buffet. Somewhat limited menu in the dining room but good food. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were small as it is an older hotel . I was extremely disappointed to get a back alley facing room but you can’t have everything I guess Booked this place mainly for the view overlooking the fjord and it was beautiful

The room and the view were excellent. Very historical and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating and thoughtful. We arrived very late after the reception was closed and Margo even left us some hot water for tea. Great stay, would definitely visit again

Hotell Utsikten boasts an absolutely stunning view of the Geirangerfjord — it’s hard to imagine a more scenic spot. The hotel has a classic Norwegian charm, with a vintage style that feels authentic and cozy. While the interiors show a bit of age, it adds to the character rather than detracting from the experience. A memorable place to stay if you value atmosphere and location.

The view, atmosphere created by the staff and hotel’s gentle grandeur was lovely, but our room was suoer hot (no air conditioning and a wall of south facing windows that only opened slightly) and the layout of the room was odd (likely due to limitations when upgrading the historic hotel). But overall it was lovely.

The room is a bit small, cozy, but no fridge, AC, no TV. Bathroom is very small. No Kleenex, as in most of hotels in Norway..Great view from the room. Friendly staff.

The staff was amazing; very courteous and helpful. The room was good size and the views were amazing. We appreciated free coffee and tea for guests. The breakfast was wonderful as well with a wide variety of breads, cheese and meat. The location of this hotel is very convenient and the waterfall and fjord views are awesome! What was missing was a proper restaurant menu for dinner as the menu had very limited items to chose from.
