Very friendly host. Thank you for your hospitality. We stayed at the family room that consist of parents room and separate room for children. It was very spacious, clean and with many toys for my son. The property is 11 mins away from Strasbourg on a train which made it an ideal plays to stay for Christmas experience

I booked this hotel as a stopover from Germany to Bastogne not expecting much, it actually turned out to be our favourite! Katya was the perfect host, we had the place to ourselves and we could use the house as if it was our own. We went out to look at restaurants for dinner (there are 2 Michelin star restaurants in the town, they’re very pricy though) but we found a fantastic Italian deli in the town and a carrefour and so rather than eat out, we made our own supper which was fab. The area has lots to see so we will go back and spend some more time there, and of course we will be staying with katya! Can’t recommend it enough.

Large bedroom, comfortable bed.

We had a great welcome from the owner on our arrival. The room had lots of space and was clean and comfy. Breakfast was traditional French and was very nice. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Chambre d'Hotes L'Ancienne Ecole. It is a beautiful period property in the lovely town of La Wantzenau. Katia is an amazing host, with passionate knowledge of the Alsace area. Nothing was too much trouble, with a tasty French breakfast each morning. We will definitely stay here again when we are back in the area.

BOOK IT!

Katia os LOVELY. Her place is spacious, clean, well organized and she thought of every detail. I 100% recommend! There were even toys in the room for my little one. The pictures don’t depict well the place, is a lot better in person. Wish we would have stayed longer. Breakfast was great as well! Katia we left you a voice mail in regards to our oldest son. Please text us back!

The hostess was delightful, The house was lovely with modern comforts in a historic structure. 2 blocks from the train station. (13 min to center of strasborg) 1 block from the bus stop. ( 30min to strasborg center). Very quiet till the church bells toll at 7am. Be ready, so quaint!

Spacious and comfy family room

We had a very pleasant stay (one night, in transit from The Netherlands to Italy). Katia is very friendly, easy to communicate with and service minded. Because of the 14th of July and we would arrive late Katia made a reservation for us at the Italian restaurant O'Pizzicato, 5 min from the house. (Good tip! Nice food & wine and a pleasant outside terrace). We were staying in the family room at the top floor. It was a very comfortable room and with 2 adults and one 15 year old teenager we had more than enough space. The only remark is that an air conditioner in the room would have made our stay more comfortable. Because of the warm weather it becomes very warm in the room as well. There was one portable airco it helped a bit, but is not that effective as an airco in both bedrooms. There are no tea and coffee facilities in the room, but on the ground floor there is a common living room with kitchen where you can make tea or coffee and use the refrigerator. We had no cheese or meat for breakfast, but if you want to have cheese or meat just let Katia know what you would like to have (one day in advance), she will take care of it. Chambre d'Hotes L'Ancienne Ecole is definitely recommended.

La habitación es muy autentica y acojedora, y el baño es muy cómodos y nuevo. Tiene radiador para calefacción tanto en el baño como en la habitación. La cama de nuestra habitación era muy cómoda, la ropa de cama limpia y de alta calidad, ya que estuvimos entre 0ºy 4º y no tuvimos la necesidad de poner el calefactor, solo me tapaba con el nórdico y ya pasaba hasta calor. La señora Katia una excelente anfitriona, facilitando todo y muy servicial, siempre consultando nuestros horarios, muy amable y simpática, además la comunicación con ella excelente ya que aunque no habla español habla muy muy bien inglés idioma en el cual nos comunicábamos y además habla alemán y francés. Gracias Katia 😘♥️

Il complesso Ancienne Ecole e' spettacolare, tipica casa alsaziana arredata con gusto, stanza accogliente e grande dotata di tutti i comfort, salottino comune in cui ristorarsi a colazione o al rientro da una giornata di escursioni. Il fiore all'occhiello e' Katya, la proprietaria, una persona gentile e cordiale, squisita padrona di casa che ama questo lavoro, con cui si chiacchiera amabilmente e che accoglie i suoi ospiti facendoli sentire a casa. Abbiamo amato questo posto

Frühstück war für französische Verhältnisse umfangreich/vielseitig. Käse und Schinken wurde zusätzlich angeboten. Etwas Obst wäre schön gewesen. Zimmer war soweit ok, Toilettenbürste eine Katastrophe, daher auch Bedenken bezüglich der Sauberkeit. Inhaberin sehr nett und gab uns auch den Tip für P&R nach Strassburg.

un diez, lugar maravilloso

Un lugar excelente, bien comunicado y muy tranquilo, Katia la dueña es un encanto, habitación muy amplia y con zona de juegos para el niño. Cerca del MMPark y de Estrasburgo, hay tiendas muy cerca en el pueblo. Sin duda repetiremos cuando volvamos por esa zona.

Séjour formidable

Loué la chambre d'hôte à l'occasion d'un mariage, nous avons pris possession de la chambre bien avant l'heure indiquée sur le site ce qui nous a totalement satisfait pour nous preparer pour la cérémonie. Notre Hôte etait très avenante acceuillante, souriante et a l'écoute et nous nous sommes sentis comme a la maison. Merci Katia.
