The room was spacious and clean. Really good amenities with cooked breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back here in the future.

This was our third stay at The Ragged Cot and we always have a lovely time. Its position is so convenient to visit many lovely places and has good on site, safe parking. Nice cosy atmosphere with nice bar and restaurant and loads of outside areas to sit. Rooms are basic but ample, the only issue ...

Check-in was early, which I appreciated. However, the room fell well below expectations: it had no window, a damp smell, no hot water, and felt very run-down. It also didn’t feel clean, and there were no hooks in the bathroom for towels. Overall, I would not recommend the Stables.

Nice place with some interesting shops and galleries and Saturday morning farmers market (go early before crowds). Galgos Latin restaurant worth a visit as is the Retreat on or just off the main high street. Museum park has a modern walled garden
The property was near the canal which you can walk into town by or carry on further to Stroud brewery. Or walk past the the Clothier's up past the Albert and on to the common and all to the Bear and perhaps an ice-cream at Winston's along the way.
Trendy and alternative market town in the middle of stayed Cotswolds. Always something going on.. music, art events etc.
We had driven through Stroud but were unimpressed, then read an article in a magazine in our room and it would appear that there’s a lot more to see than we’d experienced so we might pop back in there today.
Nailsworth in as far as the town is quiet and has a slow pace about it. Visited Tetbury which similar but larger. If you are a walking / riding sort of person then the Cotswolds are the place to visit....
