I wish we had more time to truly appreciate the lengths taken to make us feel comfortable in their home, it was only on our last day that I found the brand new toothbrushes by the sink. Yui-San was even kind enough to allow us to use their fancy tea set, the slim-compact washing machine, their full kitchen and even the kotatsus in every room! "Pleasant stay at Hotel Monterey Frere. Easy to get to from Osaka station by foot. Many dining options within a one block radius of the property and even more beyond that. Only concern is elevator availability can be delayed during peak times. Otherwise would come back again if I find myself in Osaka."

"Lovely hotel, slightly away from the busy area but directly above Kitahama station so very convenient for getting around. The 62 bus stops nearby which takes about 10 mins to / from Osaka Castle. The breakfast buffet was good value at 2300Y. It was varied and plentiful with a good selection of food & drink. There were some nice local restaurants nearby including Lien which is great fun and just across the road. We had a triple room for 2 people which meant we had a bit of space and it was beautifully quiet. There were lots of extras included - pyjamas, slippers, a free drink every day. There were also some amazing free face-masks & beauty products - we looked 10 years younger after a 26 hour journey from the UK!"

"We stayed her overnight after arriving to Osaka from a long flight. The hotel was very close to the train station and Dontobori, easily walkable to both. Great dining, shopping, and entertainment close by. The room was simple, quiet, clean and comfortable and just what we needed to get a good nights rest. The toiletries in the lobby are great and make your skin feel refreshed and moisturized. Breakfast had plenty of diverse options and was worth it for the one night that we stayed. "
