Love, love, love this home!!!
This is our second year in this home. Our hosts make sure we have all the comforts of home in an amazing location. The dock has plenty of fish holders. The kitchen is equiped with everything we could possibly need. The sun room offers a breathtaking view of the lake and we can see the fishing poles on the dock. Plenty of room and cornhole, ping pong, and a whole cabinet of games and puzzles for entertainment. This was our 2d year and we plan on making it a third year in 2025.

Family Time
We arrived at the house at about 4 p.m. to check in. It was very clean and spacious enough to accommodate us all. The view of the lake was breathtaking. The house and accommodations were everything that we could wish for. We would like to go back sometime this summer when we can swim in the lake.

Lakehouse paradise
Perfect for the 10 of us. Loved the scenery. Host very friendly and generous All of us felt it was better than advertised and enjoyed all that was offered including the ping pong table,croquet set and dock.

Beautiful home and views
Flat lot with 180 degree big water views, gorgeous sunrises in the east and sunsets to the west. Home has lots of books, games, ping pong, tv channels, more kitchen supplies and condiments than we've ever seen in a VRBO. Owners in easy communication. 15 minutes to town; we recommend The Lake House restaurant.

Comfortable and spacious
The house was very comfortable and had lots of different sitting and eating areas. It was also decorated beautifully and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook for a group of ten people. We had plenty of playing spaces for kids and adults and we even had a ping pong tournament. The beds were all comfortable. Plenty of outside playing spaces and toys too. Jim, the owner was easy to work with and very accessible.

Great location on the lake
Perfect location for a getaway for our family. The house was clean and as advertised. Kitchen was well stocked with cooking dishes/utensils/etc. Host was super communicative and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely would recommend this place.

Everything You Need
On arrival we were amazed by the beautiful view overlooking the lake. This house has everything you need for a comfortable, relaxing stay. Kitchen is fully equipped. Big screen TV in the living room and TV’s in each bedroom. Towels and linens are clean and plentiful. A beautiful fishing dock and a large lot with plenty of parking space. The owners are very hospitable and communicative. A real winner. Hopefully they’ll have us back for a future stay.

Beautifully quiet and peaceful place to visit! Our group of six adults went to Cypress gardens very educational it's a must see place! If you like kayaking , boating, biking fishing ect it's all here!!

Beautiful sunsets!
Very nice and clean home! It was very well stocked with extra towels, wash cloths, etc. I had a large family staying together here for a family vacation and we never needed to contact the hosts for anything! It was very pleasant and we would come back here again!

Birthday Weekend
My family and I really enjoyed our stay back in May. The house was very clean and nice. We did have some problems with the water initially, but the owner was very quick to respond and help out. Ended up getting it all fixed super quick and didn’t have any problems after that. The owner also stayed in contact through out the stay to ensure everything was going okay and even offered us a way later checkout time due to the weather not being the best the whole weekend. I will definitely book again.

Summer Vacation
Lots to do at this family friendly house. Puzzles, corn hole, swimming, ping pong, fishing, or just relaxing- there was something for everyone. The open kitchen/living room were a great space for everyone to be able to get together. The views from the sunroom and deck were amazing although the sunroom was a little warm during the heat of the day. Jim was a gracious host, and the supplies were plentiful. We are already planning our trip for next summer.

Great lake home
We had a wonderful week away at Deep water Lake Marion house. Communication with the homeowner was excellent, he even tried to help us out with some car trouble we experienced on the way down. The week started rainy, but there was so much to do inside, puzzles, games, ping pong. The house was so well stocked. Unfortunately, it was Mayfly season, and a few days they were bad, but that was, obviously, no fault of the homeowner. The view from the sunroom is amazing. One night we sat out there playing cards and watching a storm come in. We were able to do some fishing, kayaking, swimming, and even got in some cornhole. Overall, it was a great week to relax and celebrate my sons high school graduation. We would definitely stay here again.

Great property
This property was very open and you didn’t miss out on watching the kids play or the view of the water while cooking. Our group had 10 people and we had plenty of room. The home owners were absolutely wonderful. We go each year to the lake but this house was our favorite so far. The only down fall we noticed was there was no beach access to the water so you had to use steps entering the water and the bottom steps were a bit slimy. No control of the home owners just make sure to use the slip resistant strips they have on the steps. They really did think of just about every thing when stocking this house. If you are hesitant don’t be! Book this house. We will be returning next year for our annual trip because this house does not disappoint.

Great location
Beautiful property, perfect location on the big water, with gorgeous sunsets that pictures can not do justice! The house was stocked full of all sorts of things for the occupants and it was very clean and spacious. Awesome stay!
We have stayed in 4 other properties for our annual fishing trip. This home, by far, is the winner. The way the home is laid out is exactly what we needed. The kitchen is the best equipped I have seen of all the rentals we have ever used. The sun room was perfect for relaxing, hanging out, and looking at the lake. The ping pong table was a huge plus adding some fun entertainment. There was Corn Hole as well but the weather prevented us from using it. Plenty of TVs, but we never turned one on since there was just so many other means of entertainment at this home. Of course, the pier was a big draw for the fishermen. Plenty of pole holders for everyone. The hosts provide plenty of towels, pillows, and blankets. Plus they have made available a large capacity washer and dryer for our convenience. The hosts made it a point to communicate with us often, checking to see if we needed anything. Great hosts and great vacation rental. We had an amazing stay and are already looking forward to next year at this same location.

Absolutely WONDERFUL Lake House
Extremely clean and well maintained home w fabulous views across the water! We loved the sun room, and the home had plenty of room for dining and sitting! The furniture and beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was one of the best stocked that we have stayed at in a while. The neighborhood was quiet, and we were able to put the boat in at Polly’s Landing, which is a very short drive from the house. We were checked on frequently by the hosts, and they were very kind allowing us an early check in. Would love to stay at this property again. Stay was April 15-22, 2023

Great Location - Tired Residence
The host was mostly easy to deal with, but was unresponsive to reports about the broken dishwasher and various but important facilities and fixtures in disrepair. Overall the house needs to be detailed regarding operational functionality. We found moldy conditions in the kitchen as we hand washed dishes found in the dishwasher upon our arrival. A kitchen cabinet door nearly fell off on my girlfriend while eating. Yikes! Safety concerns were evident and need to be addressed immediately. The location of the property on Lake Marion was idyllic and our stay would have been fantastic if the property was in better repair. Be sure to ask about facilities maintenance before booking .

We were blindsided by this review after 3 years, 158 stays, and 92 reviews with all 5 Stars except five 4 Star ratings. We reached out several times via text during their stay, and received responses back saying "excellent" and "everything is good". We had no idea anything was broken. There were several cereal bowls and cups left in the dishwasher. In our haste to accomodate their early check-in request, we missed them. We apologize and will be more careful. We have since reached out to the guest to get specifics so we can address them. The dishwasher stopped working during their stay and a new one has been ordered. As for the mold, the guest said it was on the sprayer on the side of the sink which we never use and were not aware of any mold. It will be replaced. The door of the cabinet which we frequently use has been checked. The last time we were there, there was no indication one of the screws was loose. We appreciate the guest fixing it with a new screw. All guests are encouraged to report issues immediately so we can deal with them. We are very disappointed if our guests do not have a great time!! Anything less than a 5 Star is not acceptable. We love our property and love sharing it with others.

Wonderful Lakehouse
We had an amazing time at this lake house. The owners are super nice great to work with. I can not say enough about this place-it was everything we wanted for our getaway! The sunsets are breathtaking! We really enjoyed fishing from the dock (we caught lots of fish!), and the kids had a blast playing ping pong. I definitely recommend this property! My only regret is not booking it for a longer stay-hopefully we can go back again soon!

Fabulous Lakehouse!
This Lakehouse is a great quiet get away. Jim and Pam are wonderful homeowners, and their hospitality was incredibly kind. Nice neighborhood, spacious living room, kitchen and sunroom, lots of bedrooms to comfortably accommodate several family members. This will be our go-to for anytime we visit Santee Cooper!

Great location in friendly neighborhood
We took a guys trip and came down to Santee to do some fishing. The house and property itself was great. We spent quite a bit of time on the dock fishing and managed to catch several. The house itself fit our whole group of 8 adult men very comfortably. The neighborhood and area were great with easy access to the town of Santee. The hosts were also great and their communication was spot on. They made us feel very welcome and the sign greeting us upon arrival was a very nice touch. They gave us some really good recommendations about restaurants and things to do in the area before we arrived which was helpful. I would highly recommend this place to stay and my group of guys are looking forward to and already planning another trip.

Loved every minute!
We stayed here this past weekend and let me tell you.. we couldn’t have picked a better place!! The views were spectacular! We walked in and it immediately felt like home! I would honestly say the best part about this place were the hosts hands down! Very very sweet people and even said we could stay as long as we wanted on our last day!! And we even got to see a little firework show while standing in the backyard on our last night!! The kids and adults enjoyed every minute of this beautiful getaway! And we all enjoyed getting to see and feed Ginny (the Guinea bird) 😆 Thank you again for having us Mr and Mrs. Gill!!! We hope you will have us back again in the future!

Comfortable, charming & rustic VRBO
The house sits on Lake Marion and the views are fantastic. The house itself is old, but the inside is clean and cozy. The living space is comfortable and spacious. The kitchen is big and is well stocked with all the dishes & utensils you'll need. The 4 bedrooms are a good size. The beds were all comfortable. There's a sunroom that has a separate climate control unit. It's a good room for socializing or taking it easy. There's a deck off of the sunroom. There's a dock that is great to sit and watch sunrises, sunsets, birds, or just relax. Two minor negatives. One is that the water pressure in the shower is low. The second is that there is a hickory tree in the back yard and the nuts were falling onto the tin roof and making a loud noise and many were on the back deck. This is a seasonal thing. The owners were very accommodating and easy to work with. They answered questions promptly. I would definitely rent this property again. Overall, I would give it an excellent.

Frank, Thanks for playing in our OSU scholarship golf tournament, and for staying with us. Sorry about the hickory nuts, however, we won't cut the trees down. We do have a battery powered blower for our guests to blow off the deck (and the May flies, which come to all the lake houses once or twice a year). Hope to see y'all next year. Wonderful place for a Family Get together
We enjoyed everything about this property. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need to cook. The beds were very comfortable. We had a lot of rain while there so we really enjoyed all the games and puzzles. It was nice to have two living areas to hang out in. We spent most of our time on the closed in porch which had a fantastic view of the lake. We will definitely be coming back!

All lake house guests, Once or twice a year, these houses on the lake experience an onslaught of may flies. They are annoying, but at least they don't bite. Great Family Getaway
We enjoyed our stay. The house is very accommodating for a gathering of family / friends. The access to the lake and outdoor space was very nice. It was like going home, except with a lake view!
Enjoyed our time and the home! Loved the fact that the kitchen looked out to the water. We had a couple of us "working from home" and there was privacy and space to do that as well.

Relaxing with beautiful views
This was a 4 generation vacation that couldn't have been better. The house was perfect for our needs and in a great location. We didn't catch anything but the guys had fun out on the dock trying. The house is warm and welcoming and the owners are so sweet.

Short getaway
We had a nice relaxing quick getaway. Check in was simple. Homeowners were extremely nice. House was perfect. We caught some nice sized catfish from the dock. Loved watching the thunderstorms making their way across the lake. Not too far from the Summerton Diner for lunch (and dessert). Cannot wait to go back!

Beautiful and Relaxing
We couldn't of had a better time. The property is gorgeous and Jim and his wife couldn't of been more accommodating. The house is spacious and full of everything you'll need. The kitchen has all the utensils, pots and pans you'll need to enjoy your stay. The view is tremendous. The only thing I would improve on is the water pressure in the showers. I'd definitely stay here again. 5 stars !
