Great value and location

The condo is not fancy but has everything you need for a great family vacation. Comfortable bed and full kitchen. Well located close to the free bus line, with a sparkling clean pool and spa as well as a welcoming clubhouse, the property is beautiful and quiet.

Business stay

I very much enjoyed this property as it was quiet this time of the year (April) without very many people visiting the area. The carpet could use a really deep clean or replacing, but that said the unit was well equipped and cozy. I enjoyed the owner having a fan in the main bedroom as this made the room cool with a good white noise to fall asleep to. I would definitely stay here again if the property is available.

Our stay at Snow Creek in Ketchum Idaho

We had a nice time once hazardous smoke from a nearby forest fire left the area. The property was beautiful the condominium is in great need of updating, however it was nicely decorated. Needs an overhead light in the main bedroom. The no refund under unhealthy circumstances is a very uncaring problem.

Pretty spacious

Good clean enough place. The only issue I experienced is that there were no tea kettle and only had 2 tea spoons. :) I know, silly things. The beds are comfortable, it was clean, but the fridge stunk of fish (perhaps someone prior was a fisherman?). Couldn’t locate a light switch for the outdoor light, so be careful, at night you can’t see anything, including the lock. Plus, I disliked the electronic key, it doesn’t give me a peace of mind knowing that anyone who stayed at this place before knows how to enter into the condo.

Western-Style Condo - I will be back

It took me a bit to find the unit late at night. It was worth the effort. This is a very nice property We had some issues which were resolved to our satisfaction by Vacasa. The location is awesome (Walk to Dollar Mountain) and the house is well equipped for enjoying. We will be back, likely next year!

Terrible property

Locks didn’t work. Had to leave it unlocked during the day when I went out. Shower water went from hot to scalding when I was showering. Electrical didn’t work in the bathroom. One hairdryer didn’t work at least there were two.

Unit is Great! Vacasa not so much!

The unit is lovely. Well furnished, comfortable and clean. Location is perfect. Vacasa on the other hand very disappointing and not the first time especially for their fees. When we arrived our bedroom window and living room windows were taped shut on a Friday for painting on Monday. Monday morning we got up to a painter climbing over our balcony unannounced. As we were leaving our front door was taped shut with plastic. When we got home painters had been inside our unit. And now our sliders were covered with plastic. All this would have been tolerable if notified but nothing from Vacasa. When I contacted Vacasa they didn’t seem to even care about the inconvenience.

Sorry, I can’t recommend this one.

I’m normally not one to complain, but this one disappointed us. I cook for my family so we came with groceries & supplies in coolers for a long stay (over a week). When we arrived I went to put our food in the fridge/freezer but it smelled SO BAD. It was awful, like old dead fish awful. We were concerned the horrible smell would seep into our food. I reached out to Vacasa, who had been texting me about my upcoming stay, but they are not the ones who are actually over the property… so I tracked down a different contact to get help. Not the easy communication I have had at other properties. When I finally got a text service- they told me I SHOULD SCRUB DOWN THE FRIDGE, walls, drawers & shelving to remove the smell, then leave the doors open to air it. Guys, there are so many things wrong with that. 1) this is my family vacation. No, I am not scrubbing down your fridge on my vacation. 2) I paid a cleaning fee & so did the renters before me. What are we paying for if not to have someone clean the place?!! 3) It was so smelly! I really did not want to “air it out” into the rest of the condo. We have to sleep there. 4) They suggested I scrub it down with a product that was not provided- So… not only did they want me to deep clean, but they also want me to buy my own products??? Super disappointed. Other than that glaring issue, the place was ok. The toaster is broken, the dishwasher is from the 80’s, but location is great. Love the pool/area. Wish I could write more.

Quiet and Scenic location

This was a well maintained and beautiful condo. It was not to far from town, an easy drive or bike ride and it was a beautiful, cozy location. The condo had everything we needed to make the stay comfortable.

Western Condo/Snowcreek condos

Overall lovely property and location. Gradual updates are being made which are evident however, two critical ones could be a new fridge and washer dryer in the unit. The fridge was not cooling our food sufficiently and would spoil very quickly. Club house is amazing so doing laundry and swimming at the same time is more palatable. Thank you for a great stay.

Great location, dated interiors

Positives: The house has private access to Dollar Mountain (the beginner mountain) which was perfect. We could literally walk to the mountain snowboards-in-hand. Negatives: - You need a car here, it's pretty well removed from any restaurants. - The inside is rather dated with some odd furniture, and dated kitchen. - Without a rental car its very difficult to get to/from the airport.

Great stay!

This is a great place for a small group! The location is perfect and the house has everything you could need! The loft sleeps two very comfortably. Would recommend for 1-2 and 3 if you need!

Dated & Uncomfortable

Let me start this review by saying I am a vacation rental property owner myself, so I judge each property through those eyes. I expect the same level of amenities and service from properties I stay at as the amenities and service offered to people who stay in my rental. That said, this place does NOT measure up! On a positive note, I will say that the location is fabulous. It’s close enough that you can walk / bike to town, but it’s far enough away to offer peace and quiet and privacy. Additionally, the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to prepare meals and entertain. On the negative side, the unit is very dated and in need of a refresh. The carpet , furnishings and appliances are very tired. Additionally, the master bedroom bed is HARD AS A ROCK! I not only like but also prefer a firm mattress, but this is like sleeping directly on box springs. It is so hard that my shoulder would fall asleep, waking me up and forcing me to turn over on the other side before the same thing happened to the other shoulder. Abominable. Additionally, how can you charge this kind of nightly rate and not even offer a washer and dryer? You expect people to go to the laundromat on vacation? I had to laugh that the informational booklet in the unit encouraged you to start a load of towels for the housekeepers. I would gladly do that - but where? Finally, in our rental unit, we stock the kitchen with a starter pack of coffee and fixings and even offer a bottle of wine to our guests. I don’t expect a bottle of wine, but I have RARELY stayed in units that don’t offer a start on the coffee. As it turns out, The Limelight was the SAME price for these nights and they offer incredible service and a complimentary hot breakfast. That was a bitter pill to swallow! PS - We stayed in a unit in the exact same complex a week prior and it was FAR superior!

Perfect location,

We were in town for a skating competition and training for my daughter. We had another mom and her daughter stay with us as well. They could walk to the rink and bike downtown easily. Can’t wait for next year!

What to REALLY expect

Location is 5 star. Stayed in these condos before. You can walk to Dollar Lodge, and 15 min to Baldy. I’m NOT a fan of renting through Vacasa/VRBO because I believe they underpay their cleaners. What we didn’t like... 1. Dog hair EVERYWHERE on the floors. Our suitcases got covered so obviously someone didn’t vacuum or used a really crappy vacuum. One in the unit was 20+ years old. 2. Grab several cups, dishes and silverware that were unclean and actually still had food on them. 3. Smells like the year the units were built (70s). All original decor, old smelling wood and carpets. Nothing has ever been updated. The dishwasher is literally from the 70s. You can tell the owners are cheap! 4. THE STIFFEST MATTRESS!! One of the worst mattresses I’ve ever stayed on w garbage pillows. People come here to ski and board and play. They want a comfy sleep at night. This mattress will leave your body aching or you’ll get no sleep. Again, cheap owners. 5. Most Importantly - COST!! If you’re charging $250+ Per night w all the fees, fix the above. INVEST a little into your unit. I’d never pay this much to stay here when there’s ENDLESS options in this price range that I saw the owners had way more pride of ownership, instead of price gauging people solely based on location. I would not recommend this place overall. Disappointed.

Cozy and convenient

We had a lovely time! The condo is conveniently located within a 7 minute drive to Bald Mountain and only 3 minutes to town. The residence was clean and easy to access when we arrived. I can’t wait to go back to Sun Valley and Ketchum someday and stay again!

Great location

This property is very nice with good views and light. There is a really wonderful view to the north. It is very centrally located. I actually am a former resident of this area and knew this would be a great location to get around. It is close to Sun valley Village but a very short walk or drive to town. There is quite a bit of cooking equipment and utensils, the linens and bed were very nice. It is clean and it is only used for short term rental which I always find nice. When I have rented in other places where people are also living, I sometimes felt a little funny with all their things around especially if cluttered. What I liked about this place is that it is apparently only used for a short term rental. I only had two minor issues: one is that there is no laundry within the unit. There is a laundry on site which I did not use but I think for many people having a small laundry would be more convenient. Also, I only turned on the television once and I realize on these vacations most people will not be sitting around watching TV. That said, having something like Apple TV with Netflix and Amazon prime would be nice so for more movies etc. There is full cable service of course but having streaming would be nice. This is no big deal and i would certainly stay here again without it; just a suggestion. Overall I really liked this condominium and would recommend it.
