“Hot tub was not heating and did not get hot until an hour before they close the pool area. Found food left from a previous guest in our room. Strange smell in hallway. And there was mold on the wall in the bathroom in our room.”

“Requested an early check in a day in advance. Was told 1:30 "would not be a problem" and room was not ready until 3:30. Breakfast area could not accommodate the number of guests there. Shower drain was plugged, left you in inches of standing water.”

“I was placed in two different rooms. Both had broken lamps (3 total). One had a broken closet door, water pooling in the dishwasher, crumbs in the drawers and dog hair in the sofa bed. The other had a broken phone and filthy stovetop. The beds and bathrooms were clean, so that was good. The entire floor had a terrible smell that lingered for the 3 days I was there. The breakfast was basic - I didn’t eat there so I don’t know about the quality. The girl at the front desk was very nice and……

“What a beautiful place to stay, nestled along the river. You would never know that you were so close to a city. We were only there one night and had to leave early the next day, so we didn’t interact with anyone or have breakfast. If you like older homes with creaky floors, this place is for you. So much character! There are (2) homes to book. We stayed in the Grey House. One thing to note is the narrow drive to/from the property. It is wide enough for one car with a few places for the exiting……

“Old world elegance with all the modern amenities. While breakfast was not free at the hotel, an extensive and reasonably priced breakfast is available on site at Caroline's. Their giant cinnamon roll is large enough to split with your partner...also super delicious!”

“The house is beautiful. Simon was extremely communicative and we were able to check in and out without incident. We were unable to stay for breakfast but it smelled wonderful. “First of all in the elevator there is a hand written sign that says" When you get to your desired floor HOLD the door open button so the door will open". Then the elevator doesn't stop even with the floor and my first step out was face first on the floor as the elevator stopped about 3 inches above the floor. The room felt like a jail cell, you can open window all the way open (4th floor) and no bars on the screen so a child could fall out, toilet is so low to floor as if you are using a……
