Fun weekend with friends

Fun house with a nice swim dock. Easy check in and right next to a bar with daily breakfast buffet.

Great view!

Great location and great view! We loved sitting out on the porch and the swimming dock and just watching all the boats go by! Can't beat that. Overall great stay! The house is a good size was perfect for our group of 4. To note, the house is a little older than it appears in the photos and could likely benefit from a deep cleaning one day to remove all the cobwebs, etc. As per other reviewers, do not count on the Wi-Fi. It never worked when we were there, but we didn't really need it. Also, as others have noted, the dock is only for swimming and cant hold boats, thus if you rent a boat, you need to ask the restaurant next door if you can leave it in one of their slips, and you can only access it during their open hours. You may also want to consider bringing with you: hand soap, dish soap, sponges, surface cleaner, beach towels, cooking utensils, paper towel, extra toilet paper--as those would have all been nice to have.

Great place with a great view!

Great home with a great view. We were on a 8 man golf trip and Paradise Bar and Restaurant was just 2 doors down. Eat dinners and breakfast buffet there.

Vaca by the Lake👎🏻

We were disappointed. We cleaned before unpacking. It was very dirty. The deck cushions were disgusting not to mention the fish guts on them! There was no internet for the first two days and what we had after that was intermittent. Lightbulbs were burnt out in just about all fixtures. TV didn’t work in one of the bedrooms. And in that same bedroom the patio door wouldn’t open. We made the week work but we wouldn’t recommend.

fun on the lake

we stayed July 2021, the property is just what it says it is. the owner is a great and easy to work with if you have any needs. First I want to say i have no complaints we had a great time. There are a few things to no about this house, the wifi is Very week if you can get at all. Did not bother us we came to relax not be on internet. The grill is a charcoal grill so you need to bring all the supplies to grill out. If you bring a boat there is no dock just a swim platform, you have to leave you boat at the bar next door, which makes your time to get on boat and off boat subject to bar hours . Last the walk to the bar is straight up and straight down, once again no problem for us, but if you had people who have a tough time walking distance or hilly terrain could be a problem . Everything in the house worked and was clean.

Great location and view. Place was nice, could use a bath. Kitchen lacking ordinary utensils and decent pots/pans but overall a great, affordable place on the lake. Restaurant next door is awesome.

On The Quiet Side

Check in was super simple! Got the door code the day before, walked In that was it.. no meeting the agent no awkward short talk.. We were pleasantly surprised by the maintenance and upkeep. The house was clean and looked like new! Things you may not like.. Internet is non functional worse than when staying at motel 6. Televisions are large however strangely were NOT smart tv's so no logging into your Netflix account. They did provide cable TV with stars and Cinemax. There are HDMI ports available so you can bring your own streaming platform. An XBOX and Nintendo WII were available on the two televisions in the common area.. The back deck was huge and had plenty of seating however there was no cover from the rain. A table was provided for out door dining, just wish there had been an umbrella (it rained a lot while we were there) The swim deck looks fairly new I spent a couple mornings fishing on it.. the second to the last day I decided to go for a little swim.. jumped in swam to the ladder and found there were no rungs below the waterline had to swim to shore and walk up the rocks to get out.. Being unfamiliar with the house a couple of plug in night lights would have been helpful. The good.. Kitchen was set up really nice! Cabinets were filled with plastic ware pots and pans, coffee cups, plates, spices cooking oil heck I think there were a couple packages of oatmeal.. there is a dollar general half a mile down the road they sell charcoal, lettuce, tomatoes and just about anything you forgot for the kitchen. When going through the cabinets I found a bar blender and toaster those came in handy! Common area The giant couch was super plush and comfy! We spent hours there playing board games. Air conditioning was not an issue upstairs or down. Bedrooms There are two master bedrooms and one bedroom with bunk beds. The two masters have a sliding door leading out to a small private deck. Our bed was super comfy! we didn't lay on our friends beds cause that would be weird.. This house is next to paradise tropical bar and grill which makes for a quick and convenient walk for a bite to eat or a cocktail. The band has a super cute black dog that came over a couple times to say hello! Super cute and super friendly don't worry about the proximity of the bar.. we didn't hear a thing at the house! This house is on the quiet side of the lake so don't expect a party. Expect a quiet relaxing time! We would rent this place again!

Good place to stay.

Inside was very clean and nicely renovated. The only complaint was the outside. No pictures of the outside are included which was shocking when we arrived. Dock was in rough condition and the ladder was rusting out. Outside was not very clean what so ever.

Just the place for peace and beauty

The house was beautiful we rented a pontoon and spent the day not the water - everywhere we looked there was something lovely to see, many places to stop with the boat for a quick bite. The staff at the restaurant next door were lovely. I had been worried about such a large place near where we were sleeping etc but its not directly adjacent and somehow the sound doesn't travel. House was beautiful owner very nice about everything

House by the Lake

The inside of the house was clean but the outside area around the house was littered with trash. The windows were dirty and cobwebs on window corners. Dishwasher and garbage disposal didn't work but when I called they were fixed. Couldn't get the air to keep upstairs bedrooms cool and it was very hot. Other cars blocked the parking so we couldn't get out the tight driveway. Liked sitting on the deck watching the boat traffic.

Positive Experience

All in all, the experience was good. There were a few drawbacks. The Wi-Fi is terrible and I wondered if it wasn't shared between more than one property. We had individuals needing to use it for work purposes and we confirmed with the property manager that it should be working beforehand. We had to contact him more than once during our stay to "fix" it. It didn't work at all the first day and then was very hit and miss the remaining days. The hide a bed was not comfortable as the legs were bent and it was obvious it had been repaired several times. The property manager had someone come by and just remove the legs--which solved the problem for our purposes. On the private dock, the portion of the ladder which extended into the water apparently became disconnected at some point, which left some of our people stranded in the water. The property manager was notified and he sent someone to fix it after we left so I assume that has been corrected. The house itself was decent and overall the experience was a positive one. The property manager was very responsive so that was a plus.

Great house on the lake

Our family of 9 enjoyed our stay at this property. The listing could use some updating but since it just recently got listed, I’m sure those things will be updated soon (not a lot of info-says zero bathrooms, etc). There are 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs. Downstairs has a large living room, laundry room, 3/4 bath, and kitchen. Large deck, with each upstairs bedroom also having its own balcony. House included everything we needed (dishes, pans, towels, charcoal for grill, etc). Property is right on the lake with a swimming dock. Property owner was quick to respond to texts. Only concern I have is the fouton leg was broken off, so it made for some awkward sleeping. I would also suggest the owner put the WiFi information in the home because we were unable to use it. Overall, home was clean and had plenty of space for 9 of us. The home is next door to a restaurant/bar (Paradise Restaurant), so that is very convenient. We ordered takeout from there one evening, and visited another evening for a couple drinks. Highly recommend.

Beautiful view

View was awesome, swim dock was great, bed was comfy. There could be a few improvements (more kitchen/grilling utensils, more paper goods). Instructions for check-in, cleaning and WiFi. BUT, when things were missing owner was quick to respond and rectify. Would recommend!
