About the home
“Island Surf & Sun” is a delightful double-storey family and pet friendly home in Surf Beach just a short walk from the beach and comfortable drive from the supermarkets, restaurants & cafés of Cowes, Cape Woolamai and San Remo. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below:
Indoor Areas
Downstairs, a central corridor leads to Bedrooms 1 and 2 (with hanging & drawers), Bedroom 3 (with BIR, DVD player and PS3 with Games), a separate Toilet and a Bathroom/Laundry (with washing machine and shower) which also provides access to the rear covered Games Area. Upstairs is the large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with 40" TV, blutooth speakers, DVD player with movies & Coonara-style wood heater) that flows out to the enclosed rear Deck.
Outdoor Areas
The fantastic first floor fully enclosed entertainers rear Deck (with gas BBQ, 8-seater table plus couches & additional chairs) overlooks the fully enclosed rear yard, which is perfect for children and pets alike and provides an additional set of external stairs to the rear yard. The ground floor covered rear Entertaining Area (featuring a pool table & hot/cold outdoor shower) steps out to the rear yard which also has a great firepit area. There is space to park up to 6 vehicles (cars and/or a boat) on the property.
Kitchen
The fully appointed kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery, microwave, Aldi pod coffee machine, toaster, kettle, etc. plus a double sink, fridge, dishwasher, electric oven and 4-burner electric cook top.
Heating/Cooling Systems
There is a wall mounted reverse cycle air conditioner in the upstairs Kitchen/Dining/Living room along with a Coonara-style wood heater (some wood provided to get you started), an electric blanket on the Queen bed in Bedroom 2, plus three additional stand-alone heaters and fans which can be used where required. There is also a firepit in the rear yard (with some wood provided to get you started).
Bedding Configuration
This home has 5 beds, accommodating up to 8 guests:
Bedroom 1 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (Downstairs): One Queen bed
Bedroom 3 (Downstairs): One Queen bed and one set of Single bunks
Linen
It is common in the region for some linen to be provided for bookings, and some linen to be available as an optional extra. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged.
Peak Periods
Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm unless by prior arrangement. Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up.
Functions, Celebrations and Schoolies
Please note that the home is not suitable for celebrations, parties or large events. The home also does not take bookings over Schoolies. All bookings are subject to approval, pending Guest verification process - Local council restrictions are in place for this property and compliance is mandatory.
