I was told one day before my stay that they had to cancel my stay due to air condition get not working. Then they wanted to relocate me way up north Myrtle! No thanks . I had to scramble for a place near my same area for over two hours. I got a total refund. I was pretty unhappy.

Nice view and location

Great location. Easy walk to the pier and numerous restaurants nearby. Condo has a nice layout and most things you would need. Very clean. Should know that you have to walk up stairs to the fourth floor. Nice view of the beach and very relaxing listening to the waves come ashore.

Nice place to stay right on the beach.

This was a great place to unwind at the best beach in SC in my opinion. There are some updates that could be made to the place but overall mostly clean place to stay. The bed is very comfy and you can see the ocean from the bed, so you can’t beat it.

It's a beach stay.

The location is perfect. Close enough to the Pier & Restaurants, far enough away from the congestion. As everyone else mentioned the stairs are a bit much. The front door & the sliding glass door are insanely hard to open. Those are things easily that can be easily replaced, but they don't seem to be of concern because those are also things mentioned many times. The bed is okay. The shower is meh. It's a beach stay, nothing special at all. Love Surf Side though and will definitely be back to a different rental!

Great view of ocean but that’s it

Upon arrival, we had to climb three fights of steps with all our luggage and groceries. Plus kids. The balcony at the entrance of the condo was falling apart literally. I was scared to let my kids touch it. The condo reeked of cigarettes, this was suppose to be a nonsmoking condo. Coffee pots didn’t work (there were two) pots and pans were rusty and outdated. Beds- bunk beds ladder was broken so the kids couldn’t even climb up to the top bunk to use. The pull out couch bed was super uncomfortable, the springs were literally going into my back. The living room tv only had one channel. I had to hook up to tv in the master because everything was unplugged. The outside balcony had no furniture just a foldable chair that looked about 20 years old. This place would be great with some updates and it had a great view of the ocean but the flights of steps were awful.

My daughter and I stayed at this oceanfront condo, absolutely loved it and can’t wait to go back. Loved waking up seeing the ocean right outside bedroom Window. Very clean and friendly owners on 1st floor.

Nightmare-Do NOT Stay here

We have stayed in Surfside for the past 11 summers and are familiar with what to expect with ocean front condos. I wish I could share pictures here as the condo was disgusting. Filthy walls, dirt along baseboards. It was unsafe as well, the floor completely dropped down to the center of the building, one of the posts that holds the building up was not attached to the house and you could shake it, the whole building looks like it will collapse into itself. Cleary they hurricane damage from a storm and did nothing to remedy the damages. Not only was it dirty but because of the safety issue we left after one night and found another condo a few buildings down. I reached out multiple times with pictures and videos of our concerns and their response was "it's habitable." I will be sharing these pictures and videos on other travel sites so travelers will not end up in our position. Ultimately lost over $1,000 because of the whole ordeal but just grateful we were able to find a clean and safe place to stay and continue our vacation. There are plenty of options in Surfside, stay away from this one.

Best view ever!!

Very clean, comfortable beds and view to die for!! Listing was whatnot said. Sliding glass door was a little rough but nothing major!! Will definitely try to make it back here again!!

This was perfect for our quick trip down to Surfside. It's right on the beach and walking distance to restaurants. The girls loved their bunkbeds and didn't want to leave. Great feature of letting us know we could checkin early or the option to have a late checkout. Would definitely stay again!

Great location and view but needs some maintenance

This apartment is in a great quiet location right on the beach. Being in a building of 4 apartments with no elevators it is beautifully quiet. The bed is very comfortable. It does, however, need a lot of maintenance. The main cupboard in the kitchen kept falling apart, the pans are so bad I bought myself a new one and I managed to get the electronic door lock to work first time only twice in a 4 week stay. The sliding door works fine but getting the windows to open and close takes an effort. On the other hand the new splinterproof deck is marvellous. Vacasa were pretty good helping me with the problems I reported. All round, I thik this place should be removed from Vacasa for a couple of weeks while it is fixed up after which I would strongly recommend it.

Pretty solid place to stay

Solid place to stay, near all of the restaurants/bars on surfside oceanfront and its right on the oceanfront with private entry way. Door was slightly hard to open and the extra beds weren’t the most comfortable but worth it for location and it has everything you need. Master bed was nice though.

Amazing location & beach but condo could def be improved!

Lots of stairs (4 steep flights), no beach chairs or beach towels, mismatched mattress & boxspring (mattress would slide away when I’d sit on the edge of the bed!), in need of some updating and could use some personal touches. This definitely just has a feeling of just being a rental property, no warm touches. Also, RENTERS BEWARE- the added fees on this site resulted in about 30% higher total for our time there- OUCH!

Difficult to address issues

No blankets on bed and didn’t get one until second night. Vacasa is a large property mgmt company. They nor I could get hold of the local mgr who doesn’t monitor phone on weekends. Table had no top, so useless. they were aware but apologized for not telling us. Dryer sqeals very badly, lint basket is rusty. Location is great. Furniture is newer than pic. 2 recliners replaced one of the pullouts. That is better and more comfortable to sit than the remaining pullout.

Location is great…

There are definitely positives and negatives to this place. The positives: location, location, location! Loved being on the beach and only about 2.5 blocks from a few restaurants. The place seemed overall clean with new towels. With that said, the new towels had never been washed (evident by stickers still on the towels and the layers of fuzz left on my entire body). The negatives: it is on the top floor (without an elevator). The stairs leading up are a hazard as they are all different heights. The unit itself shows its age from rusted appliances to a bad section of windows in the bedroom. Washer and dryer are advertised as being in the unit, which they are… but they have a sign saying “do not use the dryer”. Remember those towels I mentioned? That would not have been a complaint of mine if I could have washed and dried them myself. If you plan to cook there, bring your own pots and pans as there is one electric griddle and one Teflon pan that is peeling in numerous spots. Oh, and beware… the smoke detector is right there and is super sensitive. Would I stay there again? Not unless some renovations were completed. Do I recommend this unit? I do if you want a fantastic location without frills.
