設備老舊人員管理有問題

設備老舊,浴室水管發出奇怪的聲音,人員管理有問題, 整體感覺無法想像是四星級的飯店, CHEKC IN時櫃台人員忙著整理他的帳務資料,乾脆就直接說等一下等我先忙完,然後直接在櫃台進行員工訓練,真是令人無法想像,感覺上似乎來住店的客戶是外來者,竟然還有這麼老舊的服務觀念

位置不错，就在平江路正对面，离地铁站稍远，晚上去附近的相门城墙吹吹风很是惬意。房间非常大，但设备老旧，地毯很不干净的样子，床比较硬，睡着有点累。服务略显随意，与前台挂的四星相差甚远。这个价格有些贵了

Very enjoyable for short stay

Nice hotel conveniently located close to old city and beautiful gardens. Room was large and comfortable. A couple of hotel staff spoke passable English, which helped greatly. Would stay there again..

Basic needs hotel-location great

The Gloria Plaza Hotel was clean, neat, convenient to public transportation. Laundry services were available BUT very expensive. Over $110 for less than 20 items.. There was no items dry cleaned. Room had Air Conditioning but was not turned on due to Chinese Government Policy. the outside temperature threshold was not achieved. Room was stuffy.

Excellent hotel in great location.

Staff was very helpful, and there was always someone that spoke good English. The breakfast in hotel was good and changed from day to day. It is an easy walk to Master of Nets Garden (1 km) and a moderate walk to Humble Administrators Garden (1.6 km), Suzhou Museum and Lion Grove Garden. There are many good restaurants around the hotel. Pingjiang Road is right across the street. The only negative (not hotel's fault) is the difficulty of getting a taxi outside the hotel during busy times.

I'm a Gloria Girl from now on

We are Americans currently living in China. An unexpected 3-day week-end popped up so we decided to "get outta town." The hotel was wonderful. The staff at the front desk spoke some English, so that was a huge plus for us, being new to China and struggling to learn the language. Our room on the 6th floor was beautiful and had what I now consider the deal-breaker......a soft wonderful comfortable bed. Breakfast in their lobby restaurant was hands down the best Chinese breakfast we have eaten. They were cooking eggs to order! The buffet had a great balance of western and eastern options. The hotel is located in a perfect part of town. The clean sparkly subway runs underground right in front of the hotel. It was less than a two-minute walk to the station. We rode the train two stops to Jing Lake, ate a wonderful dinner at a German restaurant and then watched the laser and light and water show. The next morning we discovered that the entrance to the very old and traditional canal street area was directly across the street from the hotel. We stepped away from the street and were instantly in another world. There is good reason that Suzhou is referred to as the "Venice of China." WE were fortunate to meet the hotel's manager Bobby Lang, and he was so helpful. His advice about what to see and eat and experience was spot-on, even though he is as new in China as we are. WE will definitely stay at this hotel when next we venture to Suzhou.

GREAT LOCATION

I would certainly recommend the Gloria Plaza. Right across the road is the narrow lane way with the canal...and if you walk along this narrow stone roadway, you will have a canal with all the atmosphere of an Asian Venice for your enjoyment. Do be aware of the electric motor bikes that have the tendency to creep up right behind you without any prior notice. The Gloria Plaza is an older hotel, probably built in the fifties. The rooms are large, and somewhat devoid of excessive furniture, hence there is plenty of space. Hot water abounds, good amenities. Water does go down the drain, and everything is clean. Carpets are not new, however it is regularly cleaned. Room service is great; the included breakfast is also great, with a wide range of foods. I would certainly recommend this hotel for its price (if booked through Hotel club)...for its proximity to the HUMBLE ADMINISTRATORS GARDEN and the canal street mentioned above, as well as to the Mall area to the west of the canal street.

Good but basic hotel in a convenient location.

Not an upscale hotel but I good place to stay for a few nights and certainly worth the price. Most of the staff spoke English and they were friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a convenient location and easy to find. I did not try the restaurant but the food looked good and of good variety. I am not a spoiled traveler so the hotel was perfectly suited to my needs. The Internet was wired in the rooms and only 10 RMB a night. They did have WiFi in the Hotel.

Good value and well situated.

The Gloria Plaza Hotel in Suzhou is a great place. Our room was clean, quiet, spacious and very reasonably priced. The staff were extremely helpful and the buffet breakfeasts and other meals served at the hotel very good. The hotel was well situated just across teh road to one of the main walkways through the old city. This area is picturesque, full of great little shops and restaurants and at teh far end led on to teh new I M Pei designed Suzhou Museum. I would certainly go back there.

Hotel Gloria Plaza is located close to Suzhou old and commercial center. It is relatively old and not any more competitive with new same price level hotels. Worst breakfast I've had for ages. OK, if only location is important.
