Great House on Quiet Cove

The location was great. Easy access to lake at community dock. We were able to walk to State Park for hiking trails. House was very clean and up to date decor. Would definitely stay again

Cozy retreat

This was a cozy retreat away from everything but close enough to go do things. The dock was a little further than we thought but it was still close and we used it a lot for floating, swimming, and fishing. The setup was nice for 3 families. Every family had their own bathroom. The outside area needs a little TLC but the inside was ok.

Trail to community docks was convenient and easy to find. Home near Deep Creek attractions. Plenty of space for 8 people and the dog. Used the hot tub every night! A great stay!

Relaxing, everyone had fun, many things to do

This house is lovely. Nestled in the trees, almost at the end of the road, Scandinavian Retreat is away from busy roads. The house is very clean. We were so happy and we appreciate that we were allowed to bring our dogs. We were respectful of the property so dogs would continue to be allowed. We all have food allergies so we cooked and ate all our meals at the house. The kitchen and the appliances were very nice and clean. All worked well. We grilled outside as well. The beds were made with the rented linens and the towels were good. All of the linens were nice and clean. We were two houses away from the community dock. The kids and grandkids went fishing every day - starting early in the morning. We attached a long rope line to the dock and tied together the rafts, flamingos, and even a unicorn to creat a “float-illa” and lazed the afternoons away on the lake. We swam and paddle boarded. The dogs enjoyed lying in the rafts and lying on the paddle board going around the lake. The kids and grandkids enjoyed playing pool. We all ate and played games at the nice large table in the great room. We also sat around the fire pit at night, talking and roasting marshmallows. One couple enjoyed using the hot tub. I enjoyed quiet time and drinking my tea in the morning down at the private lakeside table and chairs. Lovely spot. We went to the nearby State Park and hiked to Swallowtail Falls. We went to Wisp and rode the Mountain Coaster - lots of fun. We went to Funland and played miniature golf on one of the nicest courses we have ever seen. We also rode the go-carts, climbed the rock wall, and enjoyed the arcade. And we did this Wednesday - Saturday. We didn’t feel rushed at all. Plenty of time to do everything! Everyone said they were so relaxed and enjoyed this vacation and this vacation home. We all had a hard time going back to work! We are still talking about the good time we had. Next time we hope our schedules work out that we can stay a whole week!

Tidy, comfortable, and relaxing

We had 7 adults, couples and singles, and there was plenty of private space for everyone to not have to feel like we were "bunking over." The gas fireplace was lovely, and there was plenty of couch and table seating for both relaxing and meals. Having bath towels and linens provided was a nice touch. Water pressure and hot water availability was never an issue. The kitchen was well-appointed, had plenty of everything, and was comfortable for some family-style cooking in. We didn't use the TVs, but even with everyone on the internet, occasionally working, we didn't notice any lag. The home was very clean, uncluttered, but comfortable and homey. No access issues whatsoever: the drive was steep but plowed, deck was shoveled, and steps were clear (save for the weather that happened during our stay). The dog was very welcome, and we made sure to treat the home with respect - hopefully more pups can make the trip. Office staff was welcoming and had treats for him when I popped in for check-in and check-out. We could have used more ice-melt, and the trash bins were full from previous tenants or neighbors, but it was nothing we needed to call for. I reported it upon check-out and the staff was already heading to address it. We adored the setting and having the luxury of being able to walk to the lake on the property was a treat. Thank you for a super stay - we'll book again!

Amazing property gorgeous home

Loved the house it was the perfect place and very close to wisp. I would definitely stay again as I had zero issues when I was there. Even the neighbor was helpful when we got stuck on the driveway getting out due to snow.
