Designed by leading architect Walter Barda, this 1925 house stands as one of the first 5 original houses in Balgowlah.

As you enter the property, you’ll arrive directly into the entrance parlour, a grand space adorned with striking artwork to welcome you to your next escape. Traversing through this spacious home you’ll find plenty of entertaining spaces, each well-appointed with playful interior pieces to create a welcoming and laid-back escape. Enjoy the main living and dining space, where a large white sofa beckons, ready for casual conversation, or throw open the verandah doors and sit in the sunshine overlooking the harbour. Don’t miss the changing light as day dwindles to evening; dine under soft lampshades at the formal dining table inside yet looking out. If you’re cooking your own feast, the self-contained kitchen provides culinary style in abundance.

As would be expected from a home of this calibre, the bedrooms and private spaces don’t disappoint. The master suite is a room of dreams. With afternoon sun, the space offers an inviting ambiance, further enriched by the addition of a pizza oven, which adds a touch of charm and versatility to the area. Active guests will also love the wellness studio, ideal for a yoga or free-weights session during your stay. After building up a sweat working out, retreat to the infra-red sauna, followed by a cool-off in the outdoor shower - the perfect start to a rejuvenating day.
