“Stayed at Under Canvas Mount Rushmore twice on a recent trip west to Yellowstone: once on the way there and once on the way home. The tents were very clean, and the view is beautiful. Beds and pillows in the Safari tents were thin and squeaky, but fine. A few items of concern: (1) the bathrooms / showers need maintenance. More than once there was a line to get in. Of the five/six bathrooms in the common area, one was closed for maintenance, and the showers in at least two were in need of repair……

“Everything was very nice. Great location, the rooms are very well maintained, and the breakfasts are excellent. The one suggestion I would make is the water for taking showers at night was barely better than warm both nights we were there.”

“We had a family suite for 3 night's, it was huge and there was plenty of space for all 7 of us. We had 6 adults and one pre- teen with us. Staff was awesome!!!! My husband is diabetic and we stopped by before checking in and they were able to store his medication in the staff refrigerator for us while we explored the town. The only reason I didn’t give excellent across the board was the breakfast. They had biscuits and gravy (the gravy was like water and had no flavor) oatmeal (was too watered……

“Staff was exceptional… Not only did they assist me with the cancellation of a mistaken double reservation at their property but I left my iPad in the room and got a call from them in a couple hours hours after I left town. Returning to the hotel would have meant missing my flight. They boxed it up and sent it to my home. Again, exceptional If you're going to Mount Rushmore, this is a great place to stay in Custer (which in my opinion is much better than staying in Keystone)”

“Great room, open space, beautiful scenery”

“My wife and our grand daughter stayed 2 nights in one of the duplex cabins. This was our third time to stay at the Rock Crest. The check in lady was very nice and furnished us enough quarters for the coin laundry on premises. The room was nice and clean, the beds were comfortable. We made our own coffee and did not go to the breakfast which was offered. The family in the other duplex were very nice folks. The cabin was convenient to Custer State Park and Mount Rushmore. My grand daughter enjoyed……

“The room LOOKED good but smelled moldy. Breakfast ran out before all three of us got a chance to eat.”

“Clean room but quite small. Parking was a bit confusing and a little difficult but everything worked out fine. Breakfast was good. Great vicinity to walk the sidewalks of Keystone. ”
