Secluded Stay in a Wonderful Creekside Getaway

"Carpets were cleaned before we checked in. The home was immaculate. Game room well stocked for all ages. High chair and booster seat available and we used the booster seat. We loved the property. The hot tub was clean and right off back deck. The kitchen is large and plenty of room for eating. There are enough TV’s to please all ages and desires for entertainment. Beds were comfortable and separated from the living dining rooms. Kids can go to bed and adults can sit up and enjoy some football and not disturb them. Bathrooms were very clean. Probably best to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, if brand matters to you. We would definitely stay here again."

"Although the photos of the accommodations are accurate and a good representation of the property, it is even better in person! It is larger than we had anticipated. The property exceeded our expectations. The interior is clean. Both beds are very comfortable. The owner supplies all of the kitchenware needed to cook, serve and clean up after meals (including paper towels). He also supplies all the bathroom basics that you need for your stay, including bar soap, shampoo, conditioner, tp, and a more than ample supply of bath towels, hand towels, and washcloths. For those who run warm at night, a fan is provided in each of the bedroom closets. There are plenty of hangers in each of the closets. The shower floor is slippery, so I highly recommend using the provided shower mat.We really loved having the fireplace since the evenings were cool while we were there. It turns on with just a touch of a button. It created a wonderfully cozy atmosphere, especially for watching movies…which there are dozens of to choose from along with books to read.The exterior of the home is well maintained and beautiful. The location of the property itself is perfect for accessing the highways leading to the popular attractions. Due of the location near a well traveled, lighted highway intersection, you WILL hear the traffic when you sit outside. That didn’t prevent us from enjoying our stay at all.Communication with the owner and property manager was excellent.I would definitely stay again!"

"Oh, my goodness!!! This place has to be the nicest place in Custer. Wow! There was a Scottish Highlander that came up to fence, the kids actually got to pet it. The house is absolutely spectacular; it was clean, comfortable, and had loads of seating for everyone. You won't be sorry if you rent out this place."
The Hynes Cabin – A Spacious Renovated 1925 Classic with Stunning Views

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Hynes cabin. We did not see any horses near the cabin, but it could be due to the end of the season at the campground. We did see geese, ducks and deer daily by the cabin surrounded by the wonderful view of the mountain. The cabin is so centrally located that we enjoyed several day trips out. It is located very near Mt. Rushmore so we visited the monument in the day and also at night for their illumination ceremony. It's worth the trip!"

"We chose this property because of its proximity to Custer State Park. We found a comfortable and well-equipped home in which to relax. The beds were excellent and the kitchen was stocked for actual meal preparation and cooking! That really was appreciated, we cook a lot of meals when on vacation. It saves money to put towards other things. The grounds around the house were well maintained; we saw wild turkey and deer right in the yard most nights as we relaxed on the porch while cooking on the handy (and very clean) gas grill. The one thing I will mention is if you're a light sleeper as I am the house is right off the road and you do hear traffic. I purchased a small electric fan and it made enough noise to drown out the traffic sounds. Other than that one thing everything was great. Highlights of our trip were Needles Highway, Reptile Gardens and the 1800 Train. I highly recommend all three!"
