Pleasing stay at the Caol Ishka. It is well located to visit all the sites and sights of Syracuse and the surrounding area. The staff were very friendly and informative.

Vocht en schimmel

Op zich mooi design. Maar zo veel vocht in omgeving en muren, dat er overal overgeverfde schimmel zit, wat je in de kamers ruikt en waardoor alles kloof voelt. Ook houten elementen zoals de kamerdeuren rotten. Slechte staat!

interessante B&B gerund door vriendelijk personeel

Heel vriendelijke mensen en een goede service. Toch is het eerder B&B dan een hotel. Interessant kamer concept maar we misten toch vooral een raam. Wel veel last gehad van muggen, toch vonden we het verblijf geslaagd!

Der Empfang war sehr freundlich und da das Zimmer noch nicht fertig war bot man uns etwas zu trinken an(Cafe und Capucino). Der erste Eindruck als man die Tür öffnete war oh eine weitere Rezeption. Bei genauerer Betrachtung ist es eine gemauerte Wand die als Rückwand zum Bett dient. Man kann also vom Bett die Tür gar nicht sehen Fenster gibt es auch nicht. Erst bei weiterem Hinsehen sah man die dreckigen Wand Boden Ecken die Flecken im Wohnbereich im Bad grosse Flecken die Duschkabine mit wackeligen Holzleisten (wie es darunter aussieht kann man erahnen.Insgesamt ein sehr schmudeliger unhygiescher kalter Krankenhauseindruck.. Am nächten Morgen wurde ich freundlich gefragt ob ich ein anderes Zimmer mir ansehen wollte man habe vom Servicepersonal erfahren ich hätte mich beschwert(Nur bei der Erstbefragung von Expedia) das ich aber freundlich ablehnte da ich meine Urlaubszeit nicht mit Zimmerbesichtigung und Umzug vergeuden wollte hatte wir doch unsren ersten Schock überlebt.Am Sonntag wurden wir von 6 Wienern gefragt die auf der Terasse saßen wie uns die Anlage gefällt. Wir sagten Anlage sehr schön Zimmer s.o. Man bestätigte uns das sie die ersten Zimmer aus gleichem Grund abgelehnt hätten und man jetzt neue Zimmer für sie herrichte(Also sind wir kein Einzelfall)

Rustig design hotel met zwembad

Rustig hotel met maar 10 verspreide kamers. 4 sterren wordt een beetje afgedaan door het achterstallig onderhoud. De verschillende design kamers zijn leuk als architectuur je bevalt. Maar zorg dan dat alle features, licht, kranen ook werken en aanwezig zijn zoals bedoeld. Personeel is heel erg aardig en behulpzaam. Zwembad is netjes en door beperkt aantal gasten vaak privé. Te voet moeilijker te bereiken en enkele km vanaf centrum ortigia. In het donker niet eerste keer makkelijk te vinden door indicatie Google maps of andere navigatie. Restaurant eigenlijk alleen voor eigen gasten en vaak leeg. Kwaliteit eten is gied maar stevig aan de prijs tov andere gelegenheden in de buurt.

The hotel is conveniently located very close to Syracuse but in a country setting with plenty of parking. The hotel staff were very nice and helpful and gave good recommendations on the area. The hotel needs some improved maintenance especially in the bathrooms.

un piccolo paradiso silenzioso

silenzioso e curato. posizione ottima per Siracusa. bellissima ristrutturazione, letto comodo, bagno spazioso. personale affabile ed efficiente. mancanze: in camera (soppalcata) non c'è uno specchio e non ci sono luci all'ingresso (solo al piano superiore ed in bagno). non c'è la finestra ma solo una grande porta a vetri di accesso. la musica a colazione è un po' alta e molto "discoteca". rimane comunque consigliatissimo

Lovely hotel, but you need a car to stay here

Had a lovely time, beautiful setting and very comfortable rooms. Our bed was on the mezzanine up a narrow staircase so not good for those with mobility issues, but we enjoyed it. Had a lovely day by the pool and sitting on our private patio. the hotel is a lovely calm oasis and is really nicely decorated and laid out. Only negative is don't go without a car as it is a bit far from town and you can't walk along the road as it's really busy and has no pavement. Taxis were also pretty expensive - 20 Euros to go into Syracuse, so 40 for a day out.

TOP Lage und Personal

Sehr freundliches und Hilfreiches Personal - trotz der etwas ärgerlichen Erfahrung auf Sizilien möchte man hier gerne wieder kommen - auf diese Menschen konnte / kann man sich verlassen! Danke nochmal !!!! Nettes Design und der Aufenthalt wird relaxt - ruhige Umgebung und doch zentral gelegen - paar Minuten nach Syrakus oder zum Strand - eigener Gartenanteil - Empfehlung war aus dem Sizilienreiseführer der SZ Frühstück war gut mit Südtirolerischem Akzent ..... Sizilien :-))

Ideales Hotel für Kultur und Wanderreise

Für unsere Entdeckungsreise nach West -und Süd -Sizilien war der Aufenthalt im Hotel Caol Ishka der ideale Standort.Obwohl sehr verkehrsgünstig ,liegt das Hotel in einem ruhigen ,großen Garten.Wir unternahmen viele Ausflüge :Ätna, barocker Süden, Wanderungen ,ans Meer, abends in die Altstadt nach Syrakus. Die Atmosphäre im Hotel war sehr angenehm, das Ambiente :stimmig, das Essen : alles sehr fein (kleine Karte).

Kleines Designhotel mit exzellenter Küche

Design außergewöhnlich und geschmackvoll. Große Überraschung war das sehr gute Essen. Im Bistro. Einziger Makel war die laute, direkt neben dem Bett stehende Klimaanlage.

Compte tenu du prix de la chambre nous nous attendions à un hôtel plus luxueux, avec des abords plus raffinés, chambre pas très propre et petite Service minimum, mais agréable Nous souhaitions emprunter des vélos mais pneus dégonflés et pas de possibilité de les gonfler soi même ou par quelqu'un de l'hôtel.

Great little boutique hotel

Great stay. Staff really nice and helpful. The restaurant was excellent for our evening meal and the breakfast really high quality. Overall a very nice experience would highly recommend.

PERFETTO!!!!

Abbiamo pernottato in questo meraviglioso hotel per una sola notte…peccato! Le camere di design stupiscono piacevolmente e la pulizia colpisce fin dal primo momento che si arriva. La tranquillità che si respira ti invita a rilassarti. La piscina è pulitissima e immersa nel verde tra palme e piante esotiche molto ben curate. La cena è stata a dir poco idilliaca, la presentazione dei piatti molto ben curata e i sapori indimenticabili, il servizio degno di nota con personale preparato e gentilissimo. Il punto di forza è lo staff: all’arrivo ci hanno offerto un cocktail di benvenuto e ci hanno intrattenuto fornendoci tutte le informazioni necessarie per visitare l città. L’accoglienza e l’attenzione verso le persone è unica e rende questo posto speciale. Torneremo sicuramente per una vacanza più lunga. DA CONSIGLIARE!!!
