Welcome! Whether it’s hibernation or adventure you will enjoy your stay at the Bear Den Cottage. The beautifully decorated cottage will be your home away from it all while being surrounded by wildlife and still conveniently located near Lake Wallenpaupack, breweries, restaurants and hiking trails. Enjoy the easy access; convenient location and entire private property during your stay. Come see why guests keep coming back!

The cottage is located on a private dirt/stone road it’s recommended not to arrive in lower from factory vehicles.

During your stay you will enjoy the entire well-appointed private cottage with contactless self check-in.

* Winter* During snow conditions I have the road plowed to access the property. Anticipate snow during your stay and that four wheel drive will be necessary to access the cottage along with snow conditions at the property. Shovels are provided if needed. Expect snow and icy conditions.

The cottage was the perfect place for us, who were in the Poconos for a wedding. It was very clean, cozy and you can tell a lot of thought was put into making a great experience for their guests. A cozy and lovingly-decorated cottage nestled among mature trees and moss-covered rocks, creating a magical feeling. The firepit was such a nice space. Everything felt like a home away from home. Wonderful getaway! Very peaceful and relaxing. The owner is very accommodating to your needs whether you are looking for something in the kitchen— blender, coffee maker, pancake mix, popcorn, or looking to enjoy being outside with three seating areas, a grill, a firepit, outdoor lighting and even kayaks. Wildlife included as well! Highly recommend!

The weather didn’t cooperate, however, your place is super awesome! Our purpose was to take my niece to see the mountains. Being from the south, she was in awe of the wildlife here. Great cabin for quiet getaway! Had everything we needed and more. Location was perfect for the lake and local breweries. Saw deer at the cabin every day. I definitely recommend this cozy and comfy cabin and will stay here again!

We had a great weekend in Tafton at the cottage :) Not too far for groceries etc. and Promised Land State Park is just 15 minutes away. We’ll definitely be back!

My 2 sisters and i booked this cabin as a fall foliage getaway and were not disappointed!! The Bear Den Cottage was very clean and well kept, beautifully decorated and a comfortable stay!! We will DEFINATELY plan a trip to stay next use!!!
