“I booked a private room. The room was clean with a bed, refrigerator and AC. They have separate women’s and men’s bathrooms for a shower and toilet. There are separate lockable bathroom/showers in each area down the hall from the bedrooms. They had a community room with seating, coffee and tea. The ferry is right across the street making this a very convenient area to stay in. Overall a nice stay.”

“Charming, a bit old fashioned and quirky this is a comfortable and very Tahitian alternative to the more corporate Tahiti hotels. Our room had everything we needed for a 1 night post cruise stay and we enjoyed the pool, bar and restaurant. It was also pleasant to sit on our terrace with a drink viewing the lovely tropical gardens, with the birds and chickens.”

“The Teahupo’o surf break is basically directly out front (off-shore at the reef, of course) but water taxis are right at the shore by the front gate of pension so the location could not be better from that POV. It’s a short walk (5 minutes) on a nice beach path from the Teahupo’o photo wave spot and Olympic rings, or you can drive to the pension and park but only if you’ve got a vehicle capable of river-crossing - so that adds to the charm of the place as well. “Our room had lots of mosquitoes, my husband killed a few mosquitoes, but at night during our sleep the mosquitoes were buzzing around our ears and head, never complained because we didn’t want them to come and spray the room.”

“Great little spot where you have privacy and share common areas like kitchen, bathrooms, showers. The host was helpful and friendly. The pool was great. Peaceful place. We stayed one afternoon-evening before catching our red eye flight back to Hawaii. It was a nice spot to take a nap, enjoy the pool, and freshen up. Would like to go back and check out the tree house! Maybe next time :)”

“This place is in a great location, walking distance to the market and ferry. It’s a little tricky to find and not a typical hotel. There are 4 or 5 large rooms/ units with large beds, large bathroom and small kitchenette. The staff was friendly and helpful”

“We only stayed here one night on our way to Moorea. Owner, Vehiarii, has very nice and spoke perfect English. He even dropped us off downtown for dinner and live entertainment and picked us back up a few hours later. Beds felt new and comfortable. Linens are fresh. Coffee was awesome.
