  • Last night we went to a Taoist Temple in Taipei. You can see in the close up picture of people praying how they receive and answer immediately from the prayers. After kneeling and bowing, you throw two "stones" onto the floor. They are both crescent shaped with a sun and a moon side. If they end up both on one side, the answer is NO. If they end up both on the other side, the answer is maybe, or not enough information. If the end up like a ying and a yang, then the answer is YES. I took a moment to pray, asked my question and got a ying and a yang out of the throw. The belief is, that the result comes from within your own heart.

Very kind and helpful staff, great hospitality! A room was spacious enough for 2, and was very clean. Only 1 stop to Zhongshan station, and another 1 stop to Taipei station after transit. Very convenient location.

website pictures looked real good but in reality not that great. Carpet is stained in multiple places , chair is also stained and you don’t want to sit on it. AC was off when I moved in, I guess that’s their money saving policy. So there is a strong moldy smell to welcome you at the door. Otherwise , it’s clean, functional and fairly quiet. Room has a window (paid extra) but you just see the next door’s high rise building under construction. Hotel location is close to metro station so it’s convenient.

Mold alert!

Please do something about the mold! The hotel itself and service would be great otherwise, but entering our room I smelled something weird. Later on, I discovered that the entrance door and walls around are covered with mold, probably because of the bathroom next to them, where there was no proper ventilation. It is not healthy! We stayed 8 nights, the cleaning is on-demand which is a clever solution, but our sheets were not changed the entire time. Overall it is still a positive experience, the staff is super kind, and we would stay again in a mold-free room.

Spacious but lack of cleanliness.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The room looks like what we expected and the size is reasonable. However, the facilities need a lot of improvements. The closet can’t be closed properly. A mirror was attached to the door of closet but with very bad lighting and distance so that it was very difficult to see. The drain in the bathtub was clogged. Even though they sent someone to come trying to fix it but still wasn’t working. The design of the bathroom was interesting, while taking shower, the water will splash everywhere and it will go all the way to the sink area. The carpet of the room was FILTHY. Wasn’t sure what were those stains on the floor.

Very moldy room

The room smell moldy, can visible the mold on the vent, carpet, and wall. Although its self-checking and out, the front desk personnel is rude. When we put the sign to change bed sheets, they didnt even change it at all.

The room is surprisingly spacious and cosy, but there was little choice of free beverage. There was no heater in the room given that at the time we checked in it was really cold. I didn't like the experience of checking in via a kiosk. It was slow and impersonal.

They assign the room before we check in, although they use automatic checking system, but we can't make any choice, even can't change, also on the side of building, it have construction job, it is noisy at early morning time, I'm the age person, we can't choice the room to the other side.

My reservation was transferred to Nankang station just before the arrival. Without proper adjustment of hotel fare, the transfer was made. The new location did not provide breakfast service, and was terrible in public transportation, etc, to name a few. I couldn't sleep during the late night noise from the staff room next. It took very long to get warm water in the shower.

POOR HOTEL ROOM

DO NOT RENT THIS HOTEL. We went in late Dec stay at Room 506. The hotel room air conditioner thermostat is not working. The room is freezing at 18°C. The hotel staff said that not able to fix and reject to provide any heater . The light switch is also not working, so it cannot turn off, aftee many complaints so the hotel staff use some type and card to cover it. This is not acceptable. We did not expect to stay in a room which not suppose to rent out. Poor staff service. They not helping us with the AC issue. Construction site next to the hotel.
