“I had a really wonderful time at Tabula Rasa. Felt like the staff couldn’t do enough to ensure my stay was perfect. The location is stunning. It is worth being located up hill in the peace and quiet, and so easy to pop out in a tuk tuk. The food was really good, I expected to eat out more but, I’d often crave the chef’s dhal! I was able to eat really good plant based meals without getting bored of the menu. The chef would come out to chat, and was very keen to ensure I enjoyed the food. All……

“Wat een heerlijke plek om onze reis door Sri Lanka af te sluiten! De kamers zijn prachtig, het ontbijt is lekker en het heerlijke zwembad maakt het helemaal af! We hebben bij het hotel een massage geboekt op onze laatste dag, dit was goed stevig maar ook lekker. Het hotel zit op ongv. 15 minuten met de tuktuk van de strandjes/restaurants, maar dat wisten we van te voren en vonden wij met het heerlijke zwembad helemaal niet erg. ”

“This property is a rare example where the reality is better than the photos. It is so often the other way around. It is a unique villa, situated right on the beach with a safe and lovely swimming area just down the steps from the back garden. The pool is lovely if you don't fancy going in the sea, and you can walk along to see the green turtles arriving every morning and evening on Thalpe beach. This is one of the most majestic sights. You do not have to pay anyone to see them - you can walk and……

“We stayed for 2 nights, and we both thought that the food and the public areas were amazing. We also booked the yoga classes which were great. The bungalows are very cool, they are open, so you get a pretty unique experience. The beds are a bit on the hard side, this should be improved.”

“Such an amazing place to stay. Located in a quiet area, but with very easy access to other areas. The hospitality we were shown was incredible. We have stayed in 8 hotels during our time in Sri Lanka, and this one is by far, our favourite. The owner and staff went above and beyond to make sure we were happy, this place is a must stay.”

“Ett hotell som kunde varit ett litet paradis lyvärr stämde iångt från vägar och byar men bilderna stämde inte alls överens med verkligenheten. Det är ett nedgånget och slitet hotell där rummet vi fick hade stått oanvänt i månader. Vi fick be dem komma och ta bort spindel och spindelnät från sängen och att städa hela badrummet. Utomhus ser det ut som hotellet inte varit omskött på flera år. Dock får man ge den lilla poolen ett plus i kanten.”
