「Amazing service. Manager took me and some others on a wonderful trip to Mt Ijen at the best price. The manager also helped me find a fantastic deal on another trip later on in my travels once I had left Banyuwangi. The homestay is a very good price and there is a high street around the corner. 1 minute walk from the main train station and a few minutes to the ferry port by bus.」

「This place is just awesome! Everything (rooms, shared bathrooms, community area) is clean, looks brandnew, nice community area to hang around. Quiet during the nighttime as it is located in a small road next to the main road. Still everything is in walking distance. I have never experienced such nice staff members. They are willing to help you with everything, always have a smile on their face 😃 If you're looking for a hostel in Banyuwangi look no further - you have just found it!」

「Base to see sights of Banyuwangi. The staff were pleasant and helpful and the Indonesian breakfast was ample. Car required for this location. There is a shop across it that does general provisions and simple meals. Also went out of their way to purchase meals from outside. The room I booked did not have the advertised mountain view, and the shower room lacked a sink. 」

「We recommend the Villa Malaya in all aspects: The houses are beautiful (combination of open space, closed bedrooms and half-open baths), the garden and pool are magnificent and we enjoyed the direct access to the wonderful beach which we "only shared" with the local fishermen. Especially the staff (perfectly led by Putu Leong!) needs to be mentioned. Putu (and the team) guessed our wishes before we even became aware of them, pampered us with delicious and various food for breakfast, lunch and...
