Family New Meadows Trip

Overall, the property was great. We love the location and the amount of activities available near the home. The home truly has a very nice pool table, and I play quite a bit of pool. However, there was no chalk in the home as far as we could determine. Fortunately for us, a nearby friend has a table and loaned us some chalk. We took it with us, so there needs to be some left there. It would be far better, since there is plenty of room, to have a regulation-sized ping pong table in the "game room" or adjoining "family room". It was a bother to play pool and then have someone want to play ping pong because we had to set up the ping pong "table" on top of the pool table. It is pretty flimsy and just not very nice. The net is NOT the correct size. I'm sure it is "regulation size" so it was too wide. I was able to make it work, but it took some doing. In addition, there was only one "useable" paddle and one that is pretty much trashed. One side of the "bad" paddle has had the "coating" removed and is rough to play with. Provide new ones. I think there was only one air hockey "paddle" that was whole. The table appeared to work fine, however. I know this sounds like it was not a good experience. We are being "picky" because we know some folks would be irritated at these things. With 5 adults and three various-aged grandchildren, the changeover from pool to ping pong was often. Super fun area! House needs help.

We have rented this house before and will likely rent it again for family vacation simply because we love the location. The location is unbeatable. We love playing golf at Meadow Creek and swimming at the Osprey Cafe pool. We spent several evenings at Zims Hot Springs. We hiked, rode horses and paddle boarded. The Camas Cabin is great for a large family — lots of beds and bathrooms. We enjoyed the game room. My only complaint is it is SO cluttered it isn’t relaxing. All the decor is dusty and takes up so much usable space. The kitchen is so cram packed that we could hardly get pans back into cupboards. Even the countertops are cluttered. There is NO pantry space which is absolutely needed since renters have to bring a lot of food with them due to the lack of stores in New Meadows. We ended up cluttering up the entry way with all our stuff because there is no space in the kitchen. Hopefully, the owners will see this as constructive criticism because it really could be a 5-star house if they removed half the decor and kitchen items! And gave everything a really good dusting.

Loved it!!

The kids had a blast playing air hockey, ping pong, pool, and then settled down for the evening watching a movie on the big tv in the basement. It was an unusual over 100 degree temp outside on our stay there for the end of June, so a few more fans or an A/C unit would have been nice for the main floor level. It took until after midnight to get the main level of the home cooled off enough to try and sleep even having all the windows and blinds pulled all day. If we were smart we probably could have turned the fan on coming from the furnace room to help cool things down since the basement was a comfortable cool temp but we weren't smart enough to think of that idea until right before we left. Over all it's a beautiful home and well equipped with everything a family would need for a home away from home, especially for those who recreate during the winter months. If we decide to go river rafting on the Salmon River again someday we will for sure come back to this house if it's available!! Thank you for such a fun and clean place to stay!! :o)

Really enjoyed this property. Great for family! Relaxing - enjoyed the space. Family room downstairs was fun family time playing ping pong and air hockey!

Loved the cabin

The Camas Family Cabin was amazing. The views were incredible and the cabin was super comfortable. The only thing that I would recommend fixing is the water heater. Maybe add another one because after one shower the hot water was pretty much gone so we had to space out our showers. Everything else was great and we would definitely stay there again.

Family Retreat

Beautiful family cabin

Beautiful, large cabin with cozy furnishings. This is a great cabin for a family as they have a large furnished downstairs with game tables. Nice front deck with great view. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect cabin for multi family ski vacation. Had everything we needed and more.

Great Lifestyle...but

GREAT INTERIORS-LOCATION! Seems towels are hard to give for free.. We,got 8...complete with one hanging in bathroom. So on the second night we received more. BBQ not working A-C does Not exist (website says it does)... Fun FUN... But But...the little details matter!

Great family cabin!!

This cabin was awesome! The pool table and ping pong were a hit with our kids. When we walked in it was so much better than the pictures we saw. We loved having a basement to go cool down in. My only complaint is that the A/C wasn’t working upstairs. No matter how low we turned the air it never cooled down. Not fun in the 100 degree weather and when I specifically chose a property with air conditioning. We would definitely go back if we get the chance. Beautiful views and 20 min from McCall! The kitchen had everything we needed! Such a fun place to stay.

Great golf vacation

Close to golf course, house was very large with many bedrooms and bathrooms. We enjoyed playing ping-pong and billiards.
