"Room was a bit small for four people but we managed for two nights. The pool access is quite restrictive, as families have to book a half hour slot in advance and can use only half on the pool but we were lucky enough to get the slots we wanted. Kids got a free treat, which was thoughtful and the buffet breakfast was tasty, plentiful and had a good range."

"There was no easy access to the airport by foot. Taxi was ok. Room was clean but very hot. This was easily resolved by turning the radiator off and opening the window. We were misled when booking thinking that the restaurant would be open. We had to order takeaway and wait 2 hours for food. The hotel does not accept cash which seems to be the way everyone is going. Staff were friendly and chatty."

"The hotel is perfectly positioned as a base for the caves and mill. The rooms are clean and the staff helpful. Catering is a little quirky as the restaurant can't accommodate large numbers wanting to eat at the same time. We had an issue with a booking for dinner which they then could not honour, so we had to call in a pizza when already late, and then our pre-booked breakfast could not be accommodated without negotiation upon which we were given half an hour for a family of 4. It was fine and worked, but perhaps a few protocols around bookings from 3rd parties need tightening. The kids loved the pancake machine at breakfast and it was a fun, family orientated setup."

"Lovely hotel in the centre of Taunton. We had a spacious, well-appointed room on the third floor with a nice view of the town. The hotel is an older building with lots of historic details / decor so it has a nice vibe. Daily room service kept everything clean and fresh and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location is amazing: steps from the high street shops, cafes and pubs - you can't beat it. We'd definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again next time were in Taunton."
