Great place to stay! Loved being right on the lake front. Awesome shower and comfy bed. Bed was made and towels changed most days which was a nice touch. We loved our stay!

The view from the room was spectacular. Walked along the shore right from our room. Room was clean had many useful amenities. The “heated pool” was ice cold. The jacuzzi as barely warm enough to get in. The staff at the check in desk were fantastic. The staff in the dining room were very condescending.

Furnishings are rudimentary at best as are kitchen supplies. A coffee maker of some kind would be nice as not everyone likes instant coffee. The spa was cold and unusable. The view is outstanding and the corner unit provided lots of light. It has a feel of waiting for redevelopment. The price was the attraction.

We were upgraded to an excellent room in the millennium hotel next door, which is a top hotel. We have no issue with this hotel, it is excellent as are its facilities. The review I have given is for the Oasis room we were originally allocated, ie thread bare carpet and ripped curtains, room was in poor overall condition. Thanks for the upgrade, it allowed us to have a good couple of nights in the beautiful Taupo region. It is sad for us to see the deterioration of the Oasis motel, we stayed there on our honey moon in 1978 and have been going back ever since. It has a special place in our hearts, fantastic location and the hot pool is perfect. Please upgrade your rooms to regain the mojo it once had. Thanks to the millennium front of house staff. You are wonderful!!!!

Location is superb and the staffs are helpful. Though a bit dated, the rooms are good for 1-2 night stay. highly recommended, especially if you want to see the beauty of the lake from your doorstep.
