“Worst place I ever stayed ”

“We stayed at Opus One Hotel for three nights. The location is excellent—close to the train station and an easy walk to the city center. Our room was spacious, bright, and clean, with a large balcony perfect for relaxing. The host was friendly and very helpful—he provided us with a power adapter we forgot to bring and gave useful tips about local restaurants and shops. However, it’s important to note that this hotel does not meet the expectations of a four-star property. The facilities are……

“Room was clean, only had one towel but was quickly replaced by attentive staff. Easy check in process, contacted Filomena by phone who was at the property straight away. ”

“Great hostel, good Central location. 5 minutes walk into the city centre, 2 minutes walk from the nearest bars and restaurants. Clean room, comfortable bed and good communication from the host throughout our stay. If I'm nit picking the only very slight drawback was, the bedroom curtains, weren't full blackout (I'm a very light sleeper) but this was a very small thing, and it probably won't affect most people. I would have no hesitation in staying there again. Recommended. ”

“The property is not as presented. The house I stayed in was utilitarian at best. There were no amenities and the pool is off property. That being said, there was hot water and the bed was comfortable. When I checked in the host said “It’s not the Sheraton” and I agree. I would not stay here again and would not recommend it. ”

“The place was kept extremely clean. The stools in the kitchen were very uncomfortable, and i couldn't figure out the stove top. Some instructions would have been helpful. ”

“The busy part and old town of Faro were only a ten minute walk. Avenue 41 was also close to good grocery shops and reataurants. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, even printing our boarding passes. The rooftop terrace was a lovely apot to unwind! Hoghly recommend.”

“The drawback is if it’s rainy day, you won’t have much hot water for shower. The first night when we arrived at hotel was a rainy day so we barely had a hot shower. The host was super nice and will offer free breakfast. ”

“Check in was super easy. I arrived 'out of hours' and got very detailed descriptions on how to get in. Room and separate bathroom were clean and bed was comfy. There is no breakfast but a honesty box and some stuff like packaged mini croissants etc for purchase. I didn't bother with those and walked 2mins to Ponto Expresso for Pastel de nata and coffee. Overall, safe and very convenient area. Close to bus terminal, old town, good for a no frills weekend trip”

“Pros: 10-15m walk from bus station, train station and old town Easy to check in and clear instructions Complimentary natas for breakfast Cons: Emailed host 3x before arrival date - did not receive a reply Room lacking some basics - no towel rail in bathroom, AC remote not working, no mirror at dressing table. Wifi not working properly. Poor sound proofing - dog barking for hours in evening - very loud Okay for 1 night but not good value for money.”

“Wunderbarer Ort, sehr ruhig, eigener Innenhof, sehr nettes Personal, super Frühstück, sehr sauber und alles in top Zustand. Der Pool war leider kalt, deshalb nicht benutzbar (März). Zum Check-in muss man an der Haustür klingeln. Es war wunderbar, gerne wieder…”
