"The room was lovely, very clean and comfortable and the location was excellent. Staff very helpful. The only problem was our room had a very loud vibration/hum. Think it may have been the air con but it was really unpleasant,"

"This is budget accommodation and perfectly adequate for a two-night stay. Bed comfortable, linen and towels clean. Although one towel was frayed along the edges! The 2nd night there were rowdy guest close by until 2am!"

A REAL TREAT
"We couldn't recommend UNDER THE ELMS enough. The day we arrived was Hawkes Bays coldest day of the Winter so far. The heat pumps were on - the house was warm and welcoming. The gorgeous bathroom tiles were warm! Wine in the fridge, coffee in the pantry, beautiful decor....a real TREAT."
