The host was extremely nice and helped us find a convenient arrangement for our stay. The hotel is not very well maintained (like most hotels we visited in Israel) but we really enjoyed our stay. We recommend this place.
Amazing location and great room! Very clean, daily cleaning and new towels. Room was very quite even though the busy street outside and bar at rooftop. Comfortable beds and amazing view of the beach. Probably the best in tel aviv by the way and several great restaurants near by. Don't be scared of by the reception, that looked a bit abandoned... lovely and very helpful staff. Will definitely book again if we come back to Tel aviv.
Places absolutely spotless very very clean. Staff reception. Very helpful room was perfect size everything working staff could not do enough to help you. Any problems are fixed straight away which I didn’t have any really great place to stay.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
I chose this property for location to the beach, on-site restaurant and airport shuttle… it was close to the beach. The advertised beach towels were not available, there is no restaurant and no bar and when I asked about the airport shuttle I was told they don’t offer that… the staff was not friendly at all and did the bare minimum.
We had an excellent stay at the Gordon Hotel. It’s a great location and right next to the beach. Lots of Lime scooters nearby that can take you most places. The room was clean and cleaned every day. The staff were very friendly especially the receptionist and the cleaning lady. Having a balcony was very handy. After reading some of the previous reviews on here, we were a bit confused about what the Hotel would be like however our expectations were definitely exceeded when we got there. Great value for money too.
It was a little weird because there’s no security so the hotel feels empty but there’s a guy that always answers the phone if you have any questions and there was an envelope on the desk with our keycards. Overall it was really clean and right near the beach, the bed was good and the shower was also nice. The hotel was also really accommodating and gave us a room to keep our bags the next day even though officially we had checked out. Definitely overall worth the money
They cancelled my reservation last minute once I had arrived into town, took me nearly 5 hours to find another room. No point of paying the $8 extra fee for "securing my reservation" because they won't
Front Desk Elisabeth was wonderful and very friendly from the first time I called before checkin! But for the price of $190 I was expecting at list to have a clean room and that my bed sheets will be clean and changed. I stayed in that hotel from Friday till Monday and they never changed my bed sheets! even when I asked to do so they said:" in this hotel we only changed the sheets every 3 days".
I WONT BE STAYING IN THIS HOTEL AGAIN !

Disliked: Staff & service
Sadly our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Our room was rarely cleaned, there was almost no staff available even through WhatsApp, and the door in the front was constantly propped open past midnight. Our main issue was the lack of staff if we had any questions or concerns. These issues should be addressed for future residents.
The only thing worse than the hotel itself was the service (i should say the total absence of service). The lobby is not only dirty, it has dirty plates and glasses all over. The room was clean and it looked like it was renovated by an amateur.
The windows are so thin you could hear people breathe outside if it weren’t for the fact the street is so noisy.
And the walk in price is 250ils, much cheaper than hotels.com price.
A real disappointment.
The worst hotel I ever saw, I did not stay there for even one hour, hot another hotel close by and walked to it. Nothing they advertise is true, the place is nasty, old, not taken in care at all. When I got there there were an envelope on the top a a nasty desk with my name and key. Nobody around… I would not sleep in that place for $30 dollars. Terrible and expensive…
The hotel was absolutely nothing as advertised. The photos on the web must have been taken many years ago. There was no restaurant or bar as advertised and we did not have access to the roof bar at all. There was no one at the front desk for 3 of the days we were there. No one would take our rubbish from the room, the housemaid was Russian and spoke no English. The place is totally run down and currently being slowly fixed up. It should not be taking any bookings in its current state. It was even a major task trying to find toilet paper. On the plus side, the location is good.
Don't bother booking it, especially on a Weekend as they let the Roof Top Area out for Sauna Parties and the Music is so loud you will not get any sleep plus a transient of people coming and going to the Rave.
Elena on reception tried her best to help in every situation but was out of her depth.
The location was wonderful, that's the only positive thing.
20 years ago it would have been Shabby Chic, today it is Shabby Shabby which is such a shame.
Extremely disappointed but would return on a heartbeat if is was cleaned, maintained and redecorated.
Great location and friendly staff upon arrival. Balcony overlooking the Med was fantastic. No restaurant service currently, just coffee and tea in lobby. Room was nicely sized but design elements were not always functional or in good condition. For example: vanity light in bathroom not functional (that we could figure out), no place in bedroom to put bags or toiletries and limited bathroom counter space for this purpose, bathroom door was almost see through so no privacy when using the toilet from the adjacent room, no hair conditioner provided, body lotion provided was branded with a large local hotel chain not the Olive brand, hole in bedroom ceiling where funky light fixture was not installed properly, and glass on one hanging glass light fixture was broken, balcony curtains didn’t overlap when closed so light came in. It felt like the hotel was trying to find its identity coming out of Covid, but is about a year behind. Location provided the value for the money but not sure I would recommend to others yet.
The owner intentionally omitted there isn’t an elevator. We are seniors with mobility issues and had to carry our baggage up 2 floors after travelling from Eilat
The front door is supposed to have a security code to get in but the front door doesn’t lock
There is no restaurant, bar or breakfast
The furniture in the lobby is flea bitten and run down.
The internet does not work
There isn’t a coffee shop or coffee and tea in common area
No snack bar or deli
No concierge service
No multilingual staff
Now let’s go to the room
The sitting area had a ratty sofa that is thread bare There was a sheet on it to cover the mess
There were water damage marks in the bedroom in a few locations
The bathroom was covered in mold floor to ceiling
The light did not work
The faucet had metal erosion
The toilet was placed so there was no leg room
No telephone in the room
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL
DO NOT STAY AT THIS PROPERTY!!! What you see in the photos is not what the property looks like. I tried to cancel the reservation but Expedia couldn’t guarantee me that I’ll get my money back.
The GOOD:
The property is steps away from the beach. That’s it!!!
The Bad:
This property should not be taking in guests. After a long flight, we were extremely tired and just wanted to rest. We arrived round 2pm but room wasn’t ready until 3:30pm. The exterior of the building is severely damaged and aged. There was No RESTAURANT, NO BAR, NO LOBBY. There was a tiny dusty aged desk and a folding table with 3 dingy chairs with bugs everywhere. The kitchen was abandoned and reeks of sewage. Upon entering the room the walls were filthy, the curtains have holes in them, the ceiling in the bathroom was covered with mold and water damage which caused it to crack and fall on the floor. After complaining to management they said they couldn’t repair until we were gone. The balcony door wouldn’t close so bugs were coming in. I’ve had better accommodations at a MOTEL 6. Because we paid in advance we had no way of canceling or refunding our money. 7 days later and $2500 out of pocket, lesson learned. Never PAY IN ADVANCE. Have a backup hotel on standby.
The hotel entrance, reception, windows are dirty and not cleaned in weeks if not months. From the outside the hotel looks like it is closed for business because the maintance is so terrible! The hotel wasnt ready at 3pm so we were asked to wait half an hour. We left the luggage in storage passing through a bar area (bar is not working) that was sticky from dust. I used one of the many glasses still on the shelves and it was actually stack to the shelf from dust and greace! The actual room/bathroom was clean and comfortable... but the charm was gone with the hostel-like service and terrible reception. If you want to just sleep there after partying all night - then 'maybe' go for it, otherwise avoid this hotel.Rooftop not open to public, in fact the reception could not give us information as it is ran by a different company. Printer was not working so we were sent to Exchange office to print our boarding passes.... I travel a lot and this was the worst experience I had charging 170 Euros per night! The bathroom didnt have any hand towels nor bathroom matt. Fridge smelled of mold and so small it could not fit a bottle of wine. Kettle for tea/coffe was dirty and half full when we arrived from previous guests?!!
