“This is a basic, older Florida motel. It is clean but has some areas that could use some renovation. I recommend the rooms with the screened porches for extra room and seating. The office is at a sister hotel and not on this property. The pool is across the parking area and faces the water. Make sure to bring the gate code for the pool or you will be locked in. Lots of places to drive around and check out. Lunch at Rod and Gun Club is a must.”

“My reservation was purportedly for the "Quaint, Lakeside Hotel". After spending 30 minutes covering the small city I came to the conclusion that NO SUCH place in Everglades City. The rooms were, in fact at the Captain's Table and check-in was at the Ivy House (their people were extremely helpful).
