  • The Rio Grande River winds 12 miles down Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend National Park, Texas. When the water is high you can come down the 1,500 foot walled canyon. With less water flowing, guides take you 3 to 4 miles up the canyon with some spots having to portage. But take it all in stride because the views are breathtaking. I recommend Big Bend River Tours. You might get lucky and have the guides that take you a half mile up a side canyon. An excellent day excursion in the out of the way national park.

Cottage was clean and well stocked with everything. Location was perfect for us to visit Big Bend NP and Big Bend Ranch State Park. Communication with the owners was great!! Highly recommend this place.

Great place to stay

It is a very nice place to stay. The game room is awesome. It’s nice to sit outside by the fire or sit on the furniture and look at the stars. It’s close to a gas station and food too. Will definitely be back to visit.

Fabulous. If you are looking to stay in Terlingua don’t even waste your time looking through a bunch of other options - just book this place. Cute A-frame cabins that include everything a family needs to be comfortable. Very clean and safe. Great clubhouse / game room for kids of all ages. Can’t say enough nice things.
