"We had a get away with friends to ring in the New Year. The host went out of his way to arrange for us to have early access the day of arrival that we had not requested, but very much appreciated. Everything was very clean and the view is spectacular. Firewood was pre-delivered. We had a time finding the switch to the kitchen disposal, but eventually located under the sink. Everyone loved the place and the host was very helpful with any questions that we had. Great time and place. "

"The host was very welcoming and friendly. Love the area. Very secluded and quiet. The Iron Bridge Cafe has amazing breakfast and the restaurant down the street is amazing. Was absolutely perfect for me and my wife ! "

"We stayed for a week and a half from Christmas through the New Year and we cannot recommend this place enough! From the 81 steps it was the perfect stay for us and our pups! The fireplace in the house was gorgeous and it was nice overlooking the River everything morning and being so close for a cozy afternoon by it with a fire! Highly recommend :) the beautiful kitchen and porch were great for nights to stay in and cook at home!"

"Castaway Cabin was an amazing location and had everything you could want for a comfortable getaway. We could not have been more thrilled with cabin and all the amenities. To top it off, Rick and Janet are amazing hosts. Such great hospitality during our stay and communication before our arrival was perfect. I highly recommend staying here if you are coming to the Blue Ridge area, especially if you are interested in fishing."
