Nice modern hotel. We stayed in a castle view room. Friendly, helpful staff. Terrace, I imagine, would be lovely if the weather was warm and dry. Great location for Grassmarket and only a 10 minute walk to the Christmas market. Only issue was the nightclub next door that was playing LOUD music on Friday and Saturday night until 5am!! Made it difficult to sleep both night. Sunday was very peaceful though.
