"This hotel was a great choice overall. It was clean, well maintained, and offered a very good price for what you get. The amenities were a highlight especially the pool and lazy river, which made the stay even more enjoyable and relaxing. The only thing that wasn’t as impressive was the breakfast, which could definitely be improved. However, everything else was really good, and I would still recommend this hotel for a comfortable and fun stay."

"Food was very good but wasn't a fan of the cafeteria/ diner atmosphere. I definitely had issues with the soda/ water fountains. They weren't working properly. Also lots of the sodas were out and tasted more like the carbonated water. My room was comfy and clean. It's a big resort so the hallways and elevators weren't in excellent shape, but they all ran good and the staff was very kind and friendly throughout the whole resort. The pools are a lot of fun and grounds had lots of activities and well maintained. I enjoyed this resort."

"Room was big. Bed was comfortable. This hotel needs major updates. Old and sort of grungy. Shower head was terrible. Way too much power for a tiny shower. "

"Stayed at the The Island Resort at Fort Walton Beach and was very disappointed. The hotel is outdated and feels more like a 2-star than a 4-star. The rooms and common areas were not very clean, and the towels and linens looked worn and dirty. There was even sand around the bed, which made it seem like the room wasn’t properly cleaned. Housekeeping also threw away my personal item, which was frustrating. The only positives were the ocean view and the food trucks. Overall, the pricing does not match the quality. I would not stay here again."

"We recently stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton and unfortunately had a frustrating experience overall. Check-in took much longer than expected due to a very long line, and there were no luggage trolleys available, which made getting our belongings to the room more difficult. Later, when we tried to purchase items from the Grab and Go area, we waited over 30 minutes in line despite only being third in line the entire time. There were only two attendants working, and the service was extremely slow. After finally getting to our room around 10:30 PM, things took a turn for the worse. When we went to adjust a lamp plug, we discovered the outlet cover was not properly secured to the wall. As soon as the plug was touched, the power for the entire room went out. This created a safety concern and left us in the dark. We were then forced to relocate rooms at around 11 PM, which meant packing up all of our belongings in the dark. To make matters worse, we had to wait in another long line at that hour just to get new room keys. Again, there were no luggage trolleys available, making the move even more inconvenient. Overall, the experience was disappointing due to poor maintenance, long wait times, and lack of basic accommodations like luggage carts. We expected a much higher level of service and efficiency."
