Things to do in Madaba

The Roman Theater is one of the most impressive attractions in Amman. The, steeply raked amphitheater features incredible acoustics, an ingenious design and a seating capacity for approximately 6,000 people. It’s easy to be awed by the sheer immensity of the space and the thought of crowds gathering here nearly 2,000 years ago.

In the heart of Amman, a modern urban development called the Abdali Project has risen to transform the area. Part of this grand and ambitious project is the modern Al Abdali Mall. Observe the futuristic façade as you approach, then wander through the mall to either shop or admire its architecture.

Madaba Archaeological Park showcases a series of ancient mosaic floors that once adorned important buildings from the Byzantine and Muslim eras. Having been hidden under a row of private dwellings, most ruins were not unearthed until a few decades ago. Excavation work is still ongoing, but you can now visit the site and admire the treasures.

Admire an invaluable piece of history in the Basilica of Saint George. The ancient mosaic map housed in here is famous all over the world and has incredible religious significance.
