Inverness Castle is one of the city’s most prominent landmarks, its baronial turrets dominating the skyline. CairnGorm Mountain is the highest elevated and most popular of the ski fields in the ruggedly beautiful Cairngorms National Park. Take in magnificent views of the surrounding national park as you check out the diversity of ski runs, spanning from easy green runs to advanced areas. Take a ride to the mountain peak on Scotland’s only funicular railway at any time of the year and admire the breathtaking surrounding Scottish Highlands.

The Eden Court Theatre is the largest entertainment venue in the Scottish Highlands and one of the community’s main cultural centers. Take a drama class, view an independent film or enjoy a meal at the theater’s excellent on-site restaurant.

Loch Morlich is a picturesque lake in Glenmore Forest Park. Overlooked by the peaks of the northern Cairngorms and surrounded by forests, the loch is a popular spot for nature walks. Rent a canoe and paddle over the shimmering waters. Feed Britain’s only free-ranging herd of reindeer at the nearby reindeer center or simply stretch out on the shore and feel the sand between your toes.
