“The Fox Den met all our needs. It was clean, comfortable and had great indoor and outdoor living spaces. It was located in Thomas, within walking distance of the downtown area. Davis was just two miles South, with another fun shopping/dining area, and the local Shop & Save. Our plans involved hiking the state high peaks of MD and WV, and The Fox Den was very convenient. “This gem is close to the Appalachian highway but nestled amongst trees shading the back deck. I woke to horses in the adjacent field whinnying. Beautiful kitchen. Nice open floor plan that opens to dining and living. Lovely rooms upstairs. The bed I slept in was quite comfy. The complex has a heated pool, a volleyball court, a fire pit, a basketball court, a tennis court, a horseshoe pit and a catch and release pond with gazebo. Close to Timberline and Canaan and only about 10 minutes from……

“Our family of four stayed for two nights and used this as a home base for a skiing at White Grass, tubing at Canaan Valley Resort, and hiking at Blackwater Falls State Park. The home was well-appointed, and the hosts were very welcoming... they live right next door and are available to help if needed. The home is full lovely antique furniture and was very comfortable for us. Love that they are dog friendly!”
