"This hotel is a gem! If you are drawn to historic hotels, this is the place for you. You are greeted by a very wide veranda with rocking chairs and conversation areas and enormous colorful trailing baskets of flowers. Up the stairs to the lobby, beautifully restored. Our host Kari was so gracious and offered us two glasses of sparkling champagne and ice cold lavender scented face cloths for our faces and hands! Heaven! And this was even before we went to our room. We had chosen a double bed room, small and cozy, beautifully appointed. Bathroom surprisingly large and spacious. Main bar and fine dining was closed on Monday but the downstairs pub was open and hopping. Great food and service. Restful,quiet night. Bedding wonderful. Water hot. Continental breakfast very nice. Hotel grounds gorgeous, flowers everywhere. Boundless conversation areas I side and out. Wonderful curated framed photos a delight to see. A must stay!"

"Staff were extremely helpful and knowledgable about the area. The hotel decor really gets you in the "western" mood. The multiple hot tubs was interesting. Room and bathroom was clean. The bed was super comfy. We had a good stay."
