“Clean and cozy, friendly staff, I enjoyed the stay”

“Lovely old pub, nice friendly staff. We booked the large double which was extremely comfortable, great pillows. The only let down was the cold, it was freezing. Heating wasn't working. This wouldn't put me off staying again, as it's a really nice place”

“It's a beautiful property with amazing Christmas decorations. Even if you aren't staying at the hotel, I would recommend dining there to get into a Christmas vibe. The food and staff were phenomenal. The rooms were lovely and had character. There were beautiful views of green hills and sheep. It was great to stay in an independent hotel like this, which was so charming.”

“This is our go-to lodging when attending the opera at Glyndebourne. A wonderful, country house in Uckfield, set on beautiful, expansive private grounds. Comfortably and exquisitely furnished, it is always a pleasure to arrive and occupy the spacious common rooms and assigned bedrooms. As frequently encountered in England, old properties may lack some modern amenities Americans are used to like air conditioning and convenient USB charging ports. Televisions are dated; rooms do not have clocks.……
