Restful location

This property, which not directly on the beach, has a great ocean view. Cons: If you have knee issues or any mobility issues, be forewarned that all bedrooms are in the basement while the kitchen and den are on the top floor. Also, the shower is tiny. Pros: great view of ocean, several outdoor gathering placed to eat or just rest, and close proximity to good restaurants

The best part of this house is by far the view. We loved relaxing in the front room and watching the waves. Host responsive and easy to deal with.

Stunning views in a quaint & quirky town

We loved the town, location, and stunning views - perhaps even more so because of the passing storms. I’d stay here again. That said, it’s a simply and older furnished house so keep this in mind if these things matter to you.

Beautiful view, cosy inside

We’ve stayed at many places in Oceanside and the Blue Door now ranks as my favorite. The large windows and upper deck give are the best. The house is simply but pleasantly furnished and the kitchen very well appointed. The bed was comfortable and the lower deck Provided another nice outdoor space.

Great Experience

We had an amazing 2 night stay with friends that were visiting us from Canada. The property was stunning with great views of the beach and ocean, and the balcony to sit and unwind with the sounds of the ocean. The facilities were great as we cooked at home, the rooms were comfortable and they provided all the extras you need for your stay.

Neat Views

This property is located in a neat location. Oceanside is a nice quiet place to stay on the Oregon coast. There were great views from the main floor of the house. You can tell the house has been well loved.

Loved the blue door!

Just a prefect spot. The pictures don’t do justice to the view which was amazing. The house has all the amenities we needed and we loved the sound of the ocean as we were falling a sleep.

Beautiful View!

We've rented several places in Oceanside and this one had the best view--huge living room window and lovely deck. We were able to see whales from the home (with and without binoculars) and beach access was easy if you are able to do stairs. The owners also have great taste in books, art and music :)

We loved The beautiful view and sound of the ocean. The trees on both sides make it very private. You can't see the sunset from the house but you can walk to the end of the street and see it. Even though you can see the beach from the house, you do have to drive there unless you want to zigzag down and up the hill.

Great Location, under played !

Amazing location, I think the listings dont do it justice. Everything was great about it, management provided everything you could ask for. The Oxi Clean stain remover saved my gf’s new puffer so that little touch was great 👍🏽. The view was great, beds we’re comfortable, amenities were great, location was great, sherbet in freezer was nice & the bathrooms smelled like bleach which is always good. Thank you for the amazing stay !

Northwest trip

Property was great! Would have liked to use wood stove. Mattresses need to be replaced. GPS took us to property 2 streets lower where those owners said that there are a steady stream of misdirected tenets from The Blue Door. A mention in the check in would help.

Awesome location

Great views from almost any room in the house in quaint and quite Oceanside. Cozy, with a fireplace and well equipped kitchen. Only downside is a very uncomfortable large bed (former futon mattress, I think) but there is enough spare linen in the house to fashion a mattress topper....or bring your own. Note to owner: bedside lamp in the twin room has a broken plug and appears a little unsafe for use. Great location, but the bed will probably keep me from a second visit.

It was unfortunate that the dryer was out of order. I would have packed more clothes if I had have known. Also it took 4 days for someone to respond to my email about needing extra towels. Overall good and a great view.

Such a Cool Place!

We enjoyed our stay at The Blue Door. It has a beautiful view of the shore and many amenities within. It's a great location. As others have mentioned the beds aren't that comfortable, could have used Kleenex, no tv (which I was ok with, but hubby would have preferred to have). It has a very small shower but great water pressure. There is a noticeable musty smell within and an area of the kitchen near the fridge smelled like dog urine although pets are not allowed. The dryer lint filter came loose while running a load and clanked around inside the machine with the clothes. Overall, we liked the place.

Could not stop staring at the view out of those windows. Incredible location, but just a warning, there is no cell service here so make sure you have directions and the code to get in before you arrive. Beautiful beaches within walking distance, a couple of restaurants nearby. Home was cute and quirky. Full kitchen with everything you could need to cook basic meals. No Tupperware. Bring games, a Bluetooth speaker, or a laptop for moves for entertainment. There are no TV’s or smart speakers, but they have cd players, puzzles and books. Bring binoculars to watch sea/bird life out the window or off the balcony!
