Great beach getaway

We loved staying at the beach cottage with our son. It was small but cozy and suited our needs well. We really enjoyed having the hot tub for some morning and evening soaking. The walk to the beach is less than 5 minutes, so was very convenient. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed.

We loved this cozy place. Great location with expansive ocean views. Wonderful fireplace, fully equipped kitchen. I would give this place a 5 star rating but the bedroom is quirky: bed is up against a wall and wedged into another wall so that you can’t move from one side of the room to the other.

Wonderful little house!

This house is just perfect for two, especially if you're bringing dogs. The bed is very comfy, the house and kitchen are well-furnished, and the location is stunning. The stairs are quite steep, but as long as you know what to expect there, it's no big deal at all. This was our second time here, and we will be back again!Leah

Everything you needed was there from kitchen supplies, lots of hooks to hang coats on, comfortable places to sit and relax, great tv, washer & dryer, super great shower and the wonderful heated floor in the bathroom! Perfect Week

We loved everything about the our stay in the Little Lux Cottage. The view is spectacular and Oceanside Beach is great for walking. There are not a lot of places to eat in Oceanside (just 2) but they are both great and we did some cooking at the cottage. All in all, we enjoyed our first trip to the Pacific NW and highly recommend this cottage.

It was a nice clean property at a great location in Oceanside. The unit is quite small. It was good for a couple for a few days, but would be too small for families. Communication was easy.

Small but well placed & well managed

Sarah was thoughtful, communicative, attentive, professional and kind. The hot tub looked clean and inviting, but we did not take advantage of it. The bed was very comfortable and the shower water pressure luxurious. Everything you need in a tiny home. Our only complaint, one not in anyone's power to change, is the streetlight directly across the street glaring all night. We were careful to respect turning off the outdoor lights to preserve dark and starry gazing, but the intrusive street light makes a mockery of this. This may be a small matter to you, if so, enjoy this little place so nicely situated with the calming sound of the waves and the beautiful view perched on the hill.

Great place - great weekend!

We came in on Friday & left on Monday - short but great! We picked up some groceries as we went through Tillamook then headed out to the ocean. The view is gorgeous with your first view of the ocean to the Three Arch Rocks. Friday dinner was fresh seafood at Roseanna's Café. The Angels on Horseback were to die for - you should try them. Saturday we toured the area, went back to Tillamook to have Steamers & Oyster Shooters at Jandy's for lunch. We drove up to the Cape Meares Lighthouse. Nice little walk with a beautiful view. I got some great pictures as the weather was sunny and in the 50's & the sky was so blue. Spent a little time on the beach back at Oceanside & then settled in for dinner at the beach house. The kitchen is small but functional, we BBQed on the deck & ended the day in the Hot Tub. Sunday was overcast & rainy. This was great as we picked this weekend for the King Tide. We were hoping for big waves & were not disappointed. It was fun watching the Super bowl & the waves as well. I recommend this place. It is a great place for a romantic weekend. Little Luxe Is A Gem

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our experience at the Little Luxe house and with the Shore Thing staff was top tier. The location near Oceanside Beach was perfect for walking to the ocean. Watching the sea, birds, dogs, and people was entertaining, from both indoors and the deck outside. The house contains comfortable furniture in an elegant, but not fragile, style. Everywhere you looked was relaxing and beautiful. We enjoyed walking and lounging around on Oceanside beach, and gathering agates and cool rocks on the Tunnel beach. The Cape Meares lighthouse park is really worth a visit for the views and information about birds and seals and sea lions in the area. We had a great lunch at Fishermans Korner Restaurant on the pier in Garibaldi. We might have spent more time in Tillamook or other towns nearby but mostly wanted to get back to the house and the beach All amenities we needed were there and in great condition. For a small house it had all of the features necessary including dishes and glassware, extra blankets and towels, and bathroom supplies. The house and everything inside were spotlessly clean. It was great to have a hot tub with a view of the ocean!
