"My wife and I have travelled a great deal. We spent 6 days at La Playa - I am not sure they could have been any better. From easy, friendly check-in, amazing beach with lots of chairs and umbrellas, a FANTASTIC breakfast, and a great bar/wonderful lunch choices...and right next door to amazing restaurants and a grocery store. This place is a 10. Katy runs an amazing property and we can't wait to go back."

"Great property with a beautiful view of the hills from a picturesque sun deck. The sun deck on the first floor also includes a heated, well lit pool which is available for use all day long, beach chairs, a fully equipped kitchen(limited use) and a corner nook in case you wanna hang out by the pool but stay out of the sun at the same time. The property is very clean and well secured with parking included. My room was spacious and included an enclosed private deck with a patio in case you want to step outdoors without leaving your room. The house has a great advantage of being in a quiet area away from the busy main streets and noise of the city. The host was also very nice and accommodating and made himself available at practically all times in case there was any questions. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip. "

"This was our first time staying on the French side, at Esmeralda. Overall, it is a decent resort; it consists of small villages, each containing four guest rooms. The rooms themselves are spacious and clean, and every village shares a swimming pool among its four units. The resort grounds feature a French restaurant serving very delicious food. Another nice perk is that the resort has its own private beach area, for which you can make reservations. There is a designated parking spot right next to your village, which is very convenient. Now, for the things we didn't like: First, beach towels are issued only at the reception desk, which is located quite far from the beach itself; if you need to exchange a towel, you have to walk all the way back to reception. Second, regarding the "included breakfast": in reality, it does not correspond to a "continental breakfast" as we understand it in the American sense. The breakfast offering consists of coffee, a small croissant, and jam, along with one type of cereal and a yogurt-like product that tastes more like sour cream. There is no cream cheese, no eggs—nothing of the sort; you have to pay extra for all of those items. We have stayed on the Dutch side many times, and the included continental breakfast there was a completely different experience. Third, beach reservations must be made either at the reception desk or directly at the beach itself. We made our reservation immediately upon arrival"

"Our stay was fabulous! Jenny and her family greeted us and provided cold drinks and fruit for us when we arrived. The home was gorgeous and the space and location on the island was amazing. Then we were surprised with French baguettes and delicious croissants during our stay. It was my favorite VRBO vacation stay yet! We can’t wait to visit again and we will definitely will be staying here! "
