“This was the perfect 2 night / 3 day stay we were looking for. Peaceful, quiet, and comfortable. Next time we we have to add a day. Loved the decor! “I came here with the goal of seeing the stars in a place with dark skies, and it did not disappoint. The cabin was perfect- everything was exactly as described. The kitchen had everything you’d need, and the bedrooms were very comfortable. We loved the kitchen table- it was spacious enough for playing games together and enjoying our meals. The fire pit was great. The best part of this property was its proximity to so many great state parks. My dog was very happy here. We are looking forward to……

“Secluded location. Used the row boat both days we were there. Hiking trails located at the cabin. No need to drive. Did drive to a state park 25 minutes away where you can swim, fish, and hike. Plenty of fire wood. Will be back again one day. ”

“We had a wonderful time during our stay! The Octagon was clean and spacious! This was the perfect home to relax and unwind! We enjoyed the game room. We had great star viewing each night on the deck. The large fire pit was perfect for s’mores! We enjoyed exploring the land; checking out the creek, trails, and pond area. Joe was very responsive with any questions we had leading up to our stay. Just a couple notes and why we didn’t give 5 stars- the rooms were a little less private due to gaps……

“What a great location! Right along the bike trail..right beside the Waterville hotel. The view of the little pine.. could not be beat! I do think it would be helpful to have a mirror in the bedrooms.. maybe a few hooks to hang up clothes. The one bedroom has bunks over head with drawer underneath but for adults it’s little cumbersome to get underneath. The kitchen had everything we needed and the living room with the view is really the best part of this cabin. the fire pit area looked great. We……

“My family recently stayed at this lovely retreat. The photos do not give justice to this place. It is minutes from town, but makes you feel as though you are much further out. The cabin is meticulously maintained with all of the basics you need in the kitchen and bathroom. The pond is stocked with fish and the fire pit is ready to go. At night, fireflies light up the woods and add to magical ambiance.The owners were helpful and communicative. Everything we needed or needed to know how to operate……
