The hotel is located on a beautiful bluff overlooking the ocean. Our only negative review is the 2 mile dirt road to get to the beautiful location.
There's such a nice place, very close to the ocean, very nice rooms and the Owner herself is very friendly, if you are in Panama you must visit this place, there are two beautiful beaches not far away, I prefer the beach (Playa Torio). The ocean water is very warm
A bit hard to find at first.. even trying all map apps. Finally found it and well worth it. Beautiful property with beachfront and excellent ocean views. Gabrielle is a wonderful hostess who made sure we were taken care of.

The views from this hotel were incredible and while we definitely enjoyed our stay here there are a few things that I wish we would have known in advance!
First off, there was no hot water, which made for not the most enjoyable showers.
Secondly, the toilet in our room hardly worked.
Thirdly, the rooms were not very clean and the power randomly went out for a couple hours in the middle of the day making it very hot.
Otherwise, the food was good, breakfast especially. The pool was also nice and you are a 2 minute walk from a completely secluded beach. There are also two very cute dogs on property!

The best whale watching we have ever seen.
We stayed 3 nights. We loved the location, staff, and the whale watching nearby.
Very private location, amazing staff amazing food amazing views. We had a very wonderful time at Punta Duarte Garden Inn!!! We hope to go back there again someday!
Punta Duarte is off the beaten path. It is for someone who likes nature and solitude. It has a beautiful view of the ocean and a short walk down a nice trail to a beautiful beach. We had a nice breakfast each morning poolside. I love the beautiful wood doors and the wood carved beds we’re comfortable. We traveled with our 2- girls 12 and 16 they loved the pool and shelling. We were there during La Niña so lots of rain the road was fine. We had a 4 wheel drive but it wasn’t necessary unless you want to go to playa Morrillo for surfing. We enjoyed driving to Playa Reinna for surfing and drinks or lunch poolside. I can’t help but mentioning Chef Michael, El Sol restaurant at the gate entrance for the best meals we have had in Panama. Our family ate three meals there, the food and the view is spectacular. So bring a book, relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Punta Duerte.
Nuestras mascotas estuvieron felices. La comida estuvo muy buena. El paisaje es maravilloso. La comodidad de la cama fue excelente. Nos sentimos muy cómodos.

Hotel in toller Lage unweit vom Traumstrand

Seguro regresaremos pronto!
Very nice setting. Beautiful and intimate. Beaches pretty much to ourselves. Nice rooms - large and well built.
Gabby is a great host. Her prices are very affordable.
The owner and hostess is just a marvelous person, and she is a fantastic chef. All our meals were 5 star, in every regard. The room was clean and well appointed, it even had a mini refrigerator. Sheets, pillows, and mattress were top shelf. It appeared as if the AC had been recently upgraded.
Unfortunately, there was no hot water. This is not uncommon in many hotels and even homes in this region. I did speak to the owner concerning this, but as I said, it is not uncommon.
I was not able to pay with my credit card, though I was offered the choice of a bank transfer. Once again, this is often times the case in boutique establishments in this country. I was not surprised, and paid cash.
The location is out of this world. If you want to truly get away from it all, this is the place. It is but a short walk to a spectacular beach, the most people I saw there other than my wife and myself was three. We had the whole beach to ourselves! We also enjoyed the swimming pool and Jacuzzi, the water was both clear and inviting.
Lastly, I fell head over heels in love with Suzy, the young dog that accompanied us on every beach excursion. It was a delight to see her enjoying herself as much as we did, chasing crabs and finding sticks to play with.
My wife and I feel very lucky to have discovered this hotel, and if the time ever permits, I would not hesitate an instant to return.
Although the owner, Gaby, seems very nice, the property, the amenities and the helpfulness of the staff fall well below acceptable.
Let's start with the 15 minute driveway. The first thing you will encounter is the several KM long driveway/road that hasn't been maintained in a decade. It's like driving through a minefield, and that's not an exaggeration. We thought, well, we'll only have to to this once, but in reality, we wanted to get away from the hotel as much as possible so it was a constant problem. Even at our first meal, we knew we wanted to find somewhere else to eat. The meal is only made worse by a wine that comes out of a box that you can only describe as, bad.
I was there with my wife and had communicated before I arrived that I wanted to fish several days and was told the hotel would be happy to make the arrangements for me with a local Capt. This was a complete failure. They weren't able to get me someone to go fishing with, when this was a central theme of our vacation. For whatever reason, it doesn't seem as though they have much contact with the local community for resources, and I was completely misled about their abilities.
It does have a nice view, although the doors on the rooms have gaps on the top and bottom that let bugs in.
We found a great restaurant/hotel right at the beginning of the road into Gaby's , Hotel El Sol Morillo. If you want to come to this area, I would suggest a reservation there, everything is superior.
Great private location. Gaby, the host is great cook She is very nice person and will make your stay relaxed and easy. Private beach has a powder like sand and calm, clean water. The bast beach I have seen in the area. Can't wait to came back to visit.
Loved the place, beautiful room and view, amazing beach a short walking distance away. Quiet remote though, 4x4 recommended or at least a high clearance vehicle to drive the 4 kms from the road to the hotel, and back! It was dark when we get there, and the last portion was very challenging (dirt road).
