Gemütlich wohnen über den Dächern von Torno. Blick auf den Comer See und dessen Süd-West-Ufer.

Torno ist ein sehr reizvoller Ort am Comer See. Regelmäßige Bus- und Schiffsverbindungen, preisgünstig. Es gibt mehrere Parkplätze für auswärtige Gäste (sind durch weiße Linien gekennzeichnet), aber in der Regel auch viele Parker, sodass das Suchen einer Parkmöglickeit zeit- und nervenaufreibend sein kann. Das Appartement liegt 150 m und etliche (niedrige) Stufen von der nächsten Bar, der Bushaltestelle und dem nächsten Parkplatz entfernt. Der Supermercato ist etwa 400 m entfernt . In Torno gibt es wenige Restaurants. Das Appartement ist großzügig geschnitten, das Doppelbett ist sehr bequem. Insgesamt verlebten wir hier einen lohnenden Urlaub.

The perfect retreat with a million dollar view!

Osman is an incredible host and his property is off the charts wonderful. We experienced some personal difficulties during the stay and Osman stepped in to help us deal with the situation as best he/ we could. For that we will be forever grateful. Beyond that, this property is a hidden gem in the best kept secret town on Lake Como.

We had the most wonderful break! The apartment was absolutely spectacular!

The apartment is in the most perfect location, in the most beautiful little peaceful town, a very short walk from the lake and ferry drop off point. Wonderful little bars dotted around the harbour, and not at all commercialised. Views from the apartment were absolutely amazing. The apartment was sparkly clean and very very well equipped. The king size bed (not obvious in the photos) was super super comfortable and the linen of an exceptionally high quality. The people prior to us stayed a month, I only wish we could have done the same. Our week’s break was heavenly! We would return in a flash and hope to do so one day. We thoroughly recommend this perfect apartment and perfect location.

A gem on Lake Como

Osman's property is the perfect location to explore the beautiful Lake Como. Torno is a quiet, charming and very friendly village but easily connected to Bellagio, Como and all the lovely villages on the lake. The property is very comfortable with a great balcony with superb views of the lake to enjoy the evening sunsets over the mountain or the quiet of the mornings as the sound of the church bells waft up the hill. Osman is a very friendly host and is easily accessible for advice and assistance. We spent a month in the apartment and had a wonderful and relaxing time - the walks in the mountain behind the apartment, the ferry rides to all the villages and the quiet afternoons we spent in the piazza made for a very special time. Be aware that at the height of summer it can get hot and the apartment - like many in Europe - doesn't have air conditioning. But Osman does provide a great fan and the siestas are a good time to just chill out. We had a memorable stay. Quentin and Marilyn.

Perfecto! When we return to Torno this is where we will stay.

Torno is heaven on earth! And, Osman has created the perfect nest to relax in peace and see the beauty of Lake Como from your terrace, your living room, your dining room and bedroom. The apartment location is just what we wanted ~ A few steps up the cobblestones, away from the road, with the most gorgeous views of The Lake, the neighboring villages and the mountains. A 2 minute walk down the ancient roman path gives easy access to the bus stop, the market, the pharmacy and lite meals. Then down into the village just a couple more minutes, you discover the heart of Torno on the Lakefront and access to the ferry services. Osman's restaurants are absolutely fabulous. We enjoyed Ristorante Vapore in the evenings and for lunch and savored every minute of their impeccable service for deliciously, leisurely meals. We relaxed and explored the region for 5 days and truly appreciated Osman's updated modern apartment. Torno is perfection! And, Osman's apartment was the perfect home base for all we chose to do and all of the time we chose to sit on the terrace and do nothing at all. Thank you, Osman for your thoughtful planning to create such a wonderful apartment in beautiful Torno. Come sei bravo! Carol Lynn & Dean

View, View, did I mention the view?

Torno is a picturesque lakeside village and the apartment is just like the pictures. The inside is brand new and upscale: new floors, windows, appliances, WiFi and TV. And the terrace is where you'll spend many hours relaxing and enjoying the amazing view of the town and lake. We were lucky enough to see fireworks from Como every Saturday night. The view changes with the time of day and the weather: it never gets old. The kitchen has a good selection of pots, pans, utensils, glasses, plates, etc. There's a separate laundry room with a washer and drying rack, so you don't need to hang wet clothes inside the place. The bedroom is roomy, the bed is very comfortable and you get a nice cross breeze through the windows. Osman is a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful, and genuinely interested in the happiness of his guests. Torno is a small town, with a small grocery store, pharmacy, bank, and a few restaurants. The store has all of the basics and good selection of wine. If you plan to cook a lot, you'll want to go to Como once a week or so for the items not available at the local store (the Carrefour in Como is open 24/7). Take the ferry: it's quick, on time and pleasant. There's also a very nice farmers market in nearby Cernobbio every Wednesday morning. There's a small one in Torno too. There's a great little pizza take out place right around the corner. And ask Osman to make a reservation at the Hotel Vapore for an excellent dinner out on their lakefront terrace. As others have said, getting to the apartment is a short walk uphill. It's not as bad as we thought it would be and you quickly get used to it. We spent a wonderful month in this beautiful apartment and we highly recommend it.

Torno is stunning.

The apartment and Torno were stunning, it was our first visit to the Italian Lakes and we weren't disappointed. Osman showed us to the apartment, which is fantastic, incredibly well appointed, well equipped and a home from home for us for two weeks. Torno is very well served by buses as well as the ferry. There is an Alimentari, Bank, Pizza takeaway, cafe, bar and restaurant, what more could you ask for. There are also some great walks in the surrounding hills. Couldn't fault it.

Ferien in Torno - einfach erholsam, dank diesem Quartier!

Unsere Sommer-Ferienwochen in Torno waren einfach herrlich. Es war das richtige Dorf für uns. Wer Action und viel Abwechslung braucht, ist in Torno aber am falschen Platze. Torno ist nicht zu gross oder zu klein, aber für eine gute Zeit in einer oberitalienischen Ferienwohnung ist alles vorhanden: 2 Cafés / Bars für Cappuccino mit Brioches, kleiner Supermarkt mit täglich frischem Brot, Apotheke, Zeitungen, Pizzeria, der Aperitivo in der 'Bar Italia' am Hafen und natürlich das 'Ristorante Vapore'** direkt am See! 2 x die Woche gibt's einen kleinen Wochenmarkt und ansonsten in Como, Cernobbio und den anderen Seedörfern. Einen guten Metzger gibt's in Blevio und in Bellagio einen exzellenten Laden für Brot und andere regionale Spezialitäten. Wir waren schnell, gut und günstig nur per Boot, Bus und Bahn (z.B. nach Bergamo), Funiculare und viel zu Fuss auf den Mulatieren unterwegs - und haben es genossen, uns nicht um Parken, Parkgebühren oder die berühmten italienischen ZTLs kümmern zu müssen. Feste Schuhe sind jedoch empfehlenswert. Den Boot-Fahrplan hatten wir flink im Kopf und dem netten Navigazione-Chef von Torno bald bekannt. Der hohe Standard der Ferienwohnung entsprach der Beschreibung und den Bildern, und wir fühlten uns einfach wohl. Man spürt Osmans persönliche Note; die Küche ist gut ausgestattet und wurde von uns oft genutzt. Das Haus liegt ruhig mitten im Dorf und ist nur via eine Mulatiere (ca. 150 m bergauf) zu Fuss zugänglich. Wir genossen die Atmosphäre und Rhythmus eines lebendigen Dorfes. Wir schliefen gut, da vom Autoverkehr nachts durchs Dorf bei uns nichts zu hören ist. Die Terrasse liegt bis mittags im Schatten, wunderbar fürs sommerliche Frühstück - abends versank sie gegen 19.00h hinterm 'Schweizer Bergrücken Richtung Luganer See' ..ein Mückenmittel ist hilfreich nach Sonnenuntergang. Einen heftigen Regentag verbrachten wir gemütlich auf den Sofas mit Lesen, Radio und (italienischem!) TV. Osman hat für uns die Transfers vom/zum Flughafen Milano-Malpensa per Festpreis-Taxi organisiert, und war stets für Fragen / Informationen erreichbar ...und ein reservierter Tisch im ausgebuchten 'Vapore' am Ankunftsabend war eine wunderbare Geste! Wir kommen wieder, lieber Osman. Grazie mille! Dear Osman - we loved our time in your lovely, well-done Apartment and will definitely come again for another time in relaxing Torno. Grazie mille for your perfect assistance before and during our stay in summer 2016. A presto!

Très beau séjour

Nous avons passé 2 jours(3 nuits) fantastiques.je voyage beaucoup et la j'ai été particulièrement stupéfaite de l'appartement .Tout est fait pour se sentir comme chez soi avec des petites intentions du propriétaire très sympathique.Il y a une cuisine suréquipée,une très grande chambre,salon aussi,et une vue sur le lac extraordinaire.Le village de Torno est tres agréable,avec accès au ponton a quelques minutes à pied pour visiter le lac et ses environs.Un seul regret :n'avoir pas pu rester plus longtemps.Merci encore au propriétaire pour son accueil et aux habitants de ce petit village .
