The property is perfectly located in the heart of the city. Easy walk to subways and buses and lots of restaurants. Our room is a good size. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would recommend the medicine to anyone and will definitely book it in the future.

Enjoyed the older building. I liked the location in the university area, walked all around the university. Proximity to subway made visiting without a car easy. We ate dinner at the pub one night, very fun, tasty food.

Close access to public transportation, very clean rooms pleasant staff and easy check in and check out. Would stay again if assistance with luggage were available, as rooms are at the top of 2 flights stairs, and carpeting on outdoor entry steps meet safety standards.

Old victorian type lodging, very charming. We found the room/kitchen/bathroom to be quite roomy. Comfortable beds and sofas. Very close to Spadina subway station, walking distance to Koreatown.

This is an old Victorian style boutique hotel but clean and cute. It is adjacent to a bar frequented by students who are rowdy at times. It has no elevator so expect to carry your luggage on the stairs. Location is great for foodies and high end shopping at Bloor/Yorkville.

I booked two days before my trip to Toronto at a significant discount compared to nearby hotels like the Kimpton Saint-George hotel, which is walking distance away. The reviews were mixed, so I was prepared for the worst. Let me tell you that I was very impressed and satisfied by my experience. I was assigned the corner room with the King bed, probably the largest room I ever got. It had a fireplace, kitchen table, and Victorian-era feel. The place is obviously not brand new, but it has its charm making it much more comfortable than the fake-luxury of chain hotels. The bathroom was pristine clean. There might be the metro passing under the property, as I could feel some vibration, but it didn't bothered me at all. I definitely plan on going back there for my future trips to Toronto.

The old manoir is charming and so is madison avenue. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The soap they gave was tiny so i bought my own. They gave us a room in the basement so we heard the subway running underneath us every few minutes. I got used to it and thought it kind of quirky but those sensitive to noise might not like it. It was right near the spadina subway which was handy to get around. We enjoyed bloor st and visiting Toronto uni campus and the Royal Ontario Museum. A great trip!

The property was as advertised, funky older property. There is a bar next door. On the other side there is a fraternity w an upstairs porch that got loud two nights in a row. Great location for walking to Kensington Market or provincial parliament. Adjacent to beautiful residential neighborhood.

My stay went well. Room and property were clean, staff was very helpful, location is very practical. However, when the listing says that they're neighboring a pub, take that warning seriously and bring good earplugs if you want to be able to sleep overnight. Otherwise nothing bad.

Hotel was close to public transit subway, attractions and restaurants located on a quiet residential street. Room safe not working, clothes hangers too low for most people and in a dark corner. Towel rack in bathroom needed repair. Only one garbage can in room.

Room was a great size, bed was comfortable, bathroom had great shower. We were afraid the noise from the bar right next door would an issue but it wasn’t. The walk to our room was a bit tricky and being on the top floor without an elevator also tricky.
