"Charming place, we hadn’t realised how good the sea views were/are. Nicely located being a short walk from Babbington centre with the rest of the English Riviera easily accessible. Heating and hot water both fine, spotlessly clean and well equipped kitchen (even washing up without a dishwasher didn’t seem like a chore with those views!). We had an issue with the WiFi which the owner worked to resolve, sadly without success. But Sunny Bank is a great spot in a great location - recommended"

"This is a beautiful rental property. The view & setting is wonderful & very private, entered through electric gates. Ample parking & lovely big terrace with outdoor table. The lane to the property is unmetaled & a farm track but it's not very far from the road so did not pose an issue for us. Property itself is lovely, well maintained & everything you could need for a holiday away. All very clean & tidy. I would highly recommend."

The Grand Hotel

6/10 Okay

"Pros: location is convenient. Rooms are clean. It has swimming pool and Bar and Restaurants. Staff is well mannered. Cons: Parking is limited and an issue since the spot is closer to a beach as well as Train station. Hence, the roadside parking is hard to find while hotel parking is limited. The property has aged, the rooms are not air-conditioned. The indoor swimming pool was closed for duration of our stay. The weather was hot and hence for the charge paid, it was fair to expect air conditioning."

"horrible resort. No parking and also, there is no space in parking to turn the car. No suggestions for parking. Lifts hardly works, every room is very dirty and bathroom barely have space to stand , bath and poop. Only a 3 year old can sit on toilet seat and can poop. We managed to poop somewhere else. Also, hand wash tap is in the room, such a dirty choice. There was no way to get filtered water, these are basic amenities. Breakfast was okish but not very impressive. This resort should be banned on expedia. Worst experience for visitors."

"It didn’t start well when I was left waiting an hour due to a room mix up. I booked and had confirmation for a twin room but was told they only had a single room. The manager did try & help but it was a hotel mistake and not mine. Eventually, was offered a double room on the top floor. The lift didn’t work and the communal areas were so tired. A smell of a certain substance was awful & the main reception area was dirty and tired. The bin was overflowing and loads of flies were around this area. I’m sure this was a nice hotel back in the day but it needs a LOT of money spending on it to make it habitable. It was very cheap so guess can’t complain about the price."
